Wow, cool flashlight. Why not put 8 or 12 XHP70.2 in there? Or some XHP35's like in the Imalent R90C? Freeme, it looks like the MF05 uses the same bezel as the MF04(S). Could you maybe suggest to Banggood or Mateminco that it is time to produce a stainless steel bezel?
I agree. Something this huge, the lumens should match the size. Maybe a 4x emitter would be nice for a quad sbt90.2 mod.
The throw should match the size. The lumens should match the size. But both can’t happen in the same flashlight. Maximum of one equals minimum of the other. That’s why most of us have more than one flashlight per size classification.
I am interested in two of these: One with single emitter for max throw, and one with multiple emitters. Five XHP35 in non overlapping wells, or similar configuration, would yield a nice balance of power and throw.

Because I like big lights, my flashlightical views lean heavily toward both the extreme bright and the extreme heft.
I’m surprised no one has asked about the driver. Looks like it might run on the same 6 volt battery carrier as older lights. Does this mean it’s running a 3v Buck driver?

Looks like just a design to me. When vob reviewed the gt90.2 the head size was large enough to displace enough heat to run it for 15 minutes with no step down. The head on the ft05 looks even bigger than the gt90.2. I don’t see a fan being needed.
It would be cool seeing a 3m candela 5000 lumen bright laserbeam at night.

Hell yes, VERY interested. Hope it’s reasonable.
Without a doubt, the MF05 is one huge MF’er!

Does this flashlight have active cooling?

A cutout for attaching a handle maybe?
