My guess is 3.5km which is what I heard on reddit when this light first surfaced. 7000lm does seem a bit much though. A bit over 5000 would make more sense. Any info on the dimensions yet?
Yep, it's only good for aspheric lens setups, but basically it doubles the candela and supposedly patented. But if someone doesn't care bout patents and are willing to sell them, I'm in! They are occasionally made available in small batches here on BLF, well, happened once I think. I missed the offers though and they are pricey for a simple small reversed reflector. Rumor is one of our members long gone - MEM, actually designed it, but a 3rd party company pulled a fast one on him and claimed the patent. Not sure if this is exactly what happened, but I think that sums up the rumor portion of it.
Oh, so you were serious. Patent enforcement is incredibly difficult in China. This is why you see Chinese companies making clones of everything. Even giant wealthy companies like Apple have trouble enforcing it. This is why you see clone iPods, iPhones and Airpods. It is very common to see clones of flashlights as well. They really don’t care about patents.

Seriously I wouldn’t mind seeing a manufacturer slap the RLT collar in their flashlight. While I support patent laws for the most part, but from everything I read about Wavien/RLT, this patent is unreasonable greed hindering progress of the entire flashlight community. I pitched the RLT idea to several manufacturers before but unfortunately no luck. The big manufacturers like Acebeam and Olight will surely not knowingly infringe upon a patent but seems like even the small brands don’t want to risk it.
These enthusiasts lights sell only a few hundred max. It wouldn’t even be worth the time and money to sue them so I think there really isn’t a risk…. Imagine a GT Mini sized light throwing 500+kcd… will never happen without the collar.
I wonder if it can reach the distant tower, circled? I notice the SBT90.2’s beam “floods out” at its “tip”. I was hoping with a large enough reflector, it would be a tighter hotspot. This hotspot looks as “loose” at its tip as my Acebeam K75.
Nice!!! Now we need some specs
Yeah, it’s like the Acebeam X70. Air gets pulled into the side and pushed out onto the fins. 18650 inside the handle to power it.

Patented being the first word. Oh boy...
Surely you jest about Astrolux being sued over copyright issues.

There is a blower built into the handle.
@1theDeals
Then dang, give them a hint to add RLT to their throwers!
Why do I feel like the handle’s gonna break. Dunno why I’m judging by a picture lol.
What is RLT?

Fan is made of plastic like AB one. They are efficient, light weight, and cheap to replace.

MeadowStar is the supposed owner of the patent now: https://meadowstar.com/wavien/, patent page: https://meadowstar.com/technology/patents/
RLT will about double the throw! I wish they someone would start using that in their flashlights.

Interested for this kind of light
I’m interested, I’d like to add a big mega thrower to my collection. I don’t need one…but I want one.

If that 3162m rating is correct, it’s pretty disappointing considering the size of it.
Why do you think that is disappointing?

3162 meters is 2500 kcd - I don't think that's too bad at all. Dunno what the head diam or reflector I.D. is though, compared to a BLF GT90.
