Hello. Nice to meet you
Please excuse me because I am not good at English. T-T
I received Fireflies E07 “Osram 15W” and “SST20 10W 5000K” yesterday
-Osram works well and its manufacturing date is shown in January 2020.
-SST20 10W 5000K was marked as February 2019.
And only two indicators are illuminated, no matter how much you press or press the button =.=
No response.
Is it Defective product?or my fault?
(There is nothing wrong with the battery.)
You tried every possible number of clicks, right? 4 clicks for lockout, 7 clicks for changing aux led mode.
If you excluded that the flashlight will turn on if you click multiple times or do a factory reset (see manual) you can try to contact Fireflies next week when they will be back from holiday. I would not attempt any repair before you have clarified the issue with Fireflies. Maybe they could send you a new head or give you a partial refund.
But if you are curious I would suggest you to screw off the bezel and take out optics and glass lens. You should check if the wires are connected properly. Once I received a FF E07 where one cable of the main leds was not connected. You can find that out if you press on the solder joint and the leds light up. If you or someone you know are able to solder that would be an easy repair.
By the way, welcome to BudgetLightForum! We have lots of helpful people here.
I bought over 10 E07 and I had one developed a problem which makes it behave erratically. Fireflies sent me a replacement. I think driver reliability in all these BLF/Anduril lights are not very high. I also have an FW3A that sometimes refuses to turn on and takes me a long time to do all sorts of things to it to get it to work again. My other FW3As don’t have this problem.
If Lexel says the problem is the MCU problem then it has to be since he designed the driver. Contact Fireflies, but from my experience in the past two or more years since they were Enogear, he sometimes take weeks to check emails and PMs so you need to have patience, especially considering it is Chinese New Year and the entire country is shut down.
Don’t hold your breath yet…I have a friend in Changzhou city, near Shanghai, which is about 850kms. from Wuhan, and she sent a notice from the China government about a “Notice for extension of the Spring Festival Holiday” to February 16th! Her company cannot entertain orders, even for some spare parts that I need.
I don’t know if this Notice involves all of China though…FYI
Edit: I just got an update…it depends on the area…for Guangzhou, it’s Feb. 9
Hi everyone. Sorry for posting into an old thread.
I’ve got into the same problem - after 5 minutes of working it just turned off and only two leds are glowing.
So, I’ve replaced a small PCB with a new one (got one on russian flashlights forum) - nothing changed. Tested the button with multimeter - it is OK.
Seems like the second pcb (the one with small leds) is broken.
So I decided to rebuild it with a new driver. Which one should I choose? (My E07- is the Osram version)
I don’t need aux leds, multi-mode and so on. One or two modes -is ok.
It is not locked. I tried every possible combination from manual. Unlock, factory reset. It does not respond to clicks at all. That is why the button was the first suspected part.
And there in no “blink” when inserting accu.
I have checked everything - disassembled the working one (ordered two - second one is for my friend) and compared. Everything is OK with wires and soldering.
PS: Ordered a copper-titanium version with no Luck - DHL stopped shipping to Russia
