I have two of these from focalprice and one from tmart - all I own is 16340's and they work fine.  The light does tend to get a bit warm.

It's good for modding.

I have one from Tmart marked "mdxl 3w" and it's pretty terrible. Its bright enough i guess and its never failed on me, although ive never used it aside to check if it still works. I believe it was closer to $10 a few years back. But it's so short and compact and seemingly reliable, its worth trying for 4.99!

Ya, the blue ones match the color of the led haha, for $5 I think they're pretty decent...super small, decent finish, output on 16340 is acceptable for the price...but it's super easy to drop a different led in these.  Of course they tailstand wonderfully.  Don't expect a $30 light and you won't be disappointed.

I bought two for $2.49 at focalprice, it was like a deal of the day special.
