Well I got a good Jetbeam BC40 from Dino Direct today. The light looks flawless. What I do have a question on is I can't unscrew the top of bezel to get the reflector out. Does it not unscrew or do they have it loc-tited down?
You cannot unscrew the bezel on the BC40.

Well I'm sure they glued it or used some sort of compound to secure it shut.
I love the beam it puts out, very smooth with no rings/artifacts. One of my favorite lights.
I agree about the beam. And this light is growing on me for sure. I'm glad I bought it.
When I got mine, I was surprised that it was smaller than I thought it would be. It's easy to hold and carry. Light output is great for 100 yards or so. Doesn't throw as good as others but it's a medium thrower anyway. Not bad for the price. It makes a good weapons light.
Your Xtar 18700 should fit no problem in this light. Mine are a perfect fit, just barely enough space to slide in.

Ive read on CPF you can unscrew the bezel on the BC40 using two wrench straps but ive never been game enough to try it. It's a great light, take it out on a pitch black night on a opean flat feild and the throw is very surprising
