N95 is a wide definition normally used only in medical referencing of masks. Better to use the Industrial definitions - FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3.

Forget FFP1 as it will provide little protection re this virus. A basic valved FFP2 or FFP3 grade mask is what you need. Sometimes the FFP2 is abbreviated to P2. Most people have not cottoned on to all this yet. Therefore most builders suppliers still have plenty of masks because they are used when working in dusty or asbestos environments. But be quick because it won’t be long before the public wakes up to this and stocks will run low there as well.

I see Mc Master-Carr still use the N95 and N100 terms, either grade will do.

My wife was laughing at me last year when I bought 2 cases (as in craploads) of N95 masks. (She see’s these kinds of crazy manifested all the time by me)

Then the Cornoa virus info came out and she wasn’t laughing.

Then an early prominent Chinese Dr who contacted it said that masks don’t help, he was wearing a mask but contracted it via his eyes. ………

She’s back to laughing at me.

Please noted that N95 is not recommended for prolong usage.

3M 6800 full-face respirator or 3M 6500/7500 half-face w/ indirect vent or non-vented goggles. These filters: 6035, 7093, 60923 or 60926. Wipe down with CHG wipes, leave outside. Best bet is to not go outside once it gets bad. Stock up now so you don’t have to leave the house for 30 days.
