A BLF 10 years anniversary GAW; Round 2 (CLOSED, winner listed in post#20)

I won Agro's GAW earlier this month and this is my GAW as promised. If you missed Agro's GAW, that topic may be found here, as background reference.

The rules for this GAW are very much the same as what Agro set up for the first in this series.

The GAW starts Now

The GAW ends on or about the Ides of March (it will end officially when I get there and post that it has closed; on or after the Ides of March).

Who can enter?

Any BLF member who has at least 10 non-GAW related posts as of the start of this GAW.

How to enter? Just express your willingness to enter and abide by the Special Rule (below) in this thread.

One winner will be picked randomly by using the random number generator at random.org

The Special Rule:
By accepting a prize the winner promises to:

  • Create a BLF GAW within 6 months of receiving their prize

  • That GAW must be open to everyone to whom this one is open. It may be open to other BLFers as well.

  • The selection rules must give every participant equal chance to win

  • This Special Rule must be one of the rules of this GAW. This means that the winner of this GAW must be obliged to make a GAW themselves and to pass the GAW-making obligation to the next winner.

I am following Agro's lead and have two groups of lights. The winner will be able to select one item from each group.

Group One:

Shadow JM35; the "upgrade" version, single 26650 cell, with the OEM boost driver. Side switch, no tail switch. This was available in an XHP50 or an MT-G2 version. The GAW light has the MT-G2 emitter. A stock and virtually new light. I used it a little to try it out, then placed it back in the box with the OEM lanyard and 0-rings. Excellent cosmetic condition.

BLF D80; modded. This one has the XP-L 1A it came with but now has a mtnelectronics.com DD/FET driver, the original purple version. It has two body tubes. When this light was first released the body tube was too short to permit use of button top and protected cells. Subsequently, longer tubes were made and for a while available for purchase separately, so this light has one of each tube included. No box. Very good cosmetic condition, some dust, no scrapes.

BLF D80; modded. This light has an XHP50, first version, in 6 volts. The driver is a zener diode equipped mtnelectronics.com DD/FET. A purple version. One of each of the short and long tubes are used in tandem to allow the serial use of two 18650 cells. Two 18650 cells can also be used with the longer of the two tubes. No box. Very good cosmetic condition, some dust, no scrapes. Note: the junction of the two tubes is not fitted with an o-ring (not possible), but if waterproofness is very important a wrap of clear or black silicone tape will seal the joint.

BLF SE X5, Kronos limited edition; stock light except that the tailcap illumination has been disabled. The illuminated cap was simply annoying to me. Uses a 14500 cell, not included. Comes with the original paperboard box. Very good to excellent cosmetic condition, some dust, no scrapes.

Group Two:

Thorfire PF01, AAA, black, stock light. Has original paperboard box. Excellent cosmetic condition.

Thorfire TS07, AAA, stainless steel, stock light. Comes with OEM metal box with window. Excellent cosmetic condition.

SK68; AAA/14500 zoomie, stock light. No box. Excellent cosmetic condition.

Maglite Solitaire, AAA twisty, stock, shows very minor signs of use. No box.

Thank you for the GAW MtnDon.
I just realized that I’ve never seen a Solitaire in action. I guess that’s a major omission for a zoomie guy.
I’m in.

Normally I would give it a second thought but you used the magic words: Stainlesssss Steel.

So this is it: I’m IN.

Thanks, MtnDon
