The last 2 FIREFLIES I reviewed developed faults, will it be 3rd time lucky with this Raw Aluminium ROT66 Gen II XPL HI?
Quality issues is the only thing that has stopped me buying a FF light. It would seem after all this time and feedback/input it hasn’t improved much - not being able to turn the light of is a pretty big fail lol.Imagine you’d been out in the open in pouring rain!
You would think they would test the living daylights out of a review sample before sending it out, nothing more embarrassing than it failing in a review really.

Not to mention the woeful battery carrier design of the Gen 1 ROT66.
It didn’t work “normally” ever after?
So far I didn’t have any problem with mine, but I don’t use it many times currently, not for extended periods on max.
I only wish it had XP-L leds, as the SST are a bit greenish (except on max output).
It just won’t turn off and it can’t manually unlock either unlike my 219B Gen II
