Amazon seems to be selling what looks like the same headlamp with different brand names. Whaitfire , Slonik ,Tansoren

Is this manufactured by Sofirn for them or does Sofirn buy from a different manufacturer and rebrand them ?

This basic same headlamp is my current bench headlamp, used almost every day. I bought one of the many clones out there, and wired in a ATTiny85 MCU to the stock driver so I could use NarsilM on it. Swapped the LED's to two XM-L2 T6 4C's to get decent tint. From what I recall, can be tricky to mod because of spcae and the wires runing to the LED's.

This version sold here on Amazon sounds like a much better UI, better LED's than the one I bought. The SST-40's are bright, but since it doesn't say what tint, I would assume CW. Still a great deal with a 3000 mAh cell.

Worth noting that this is a review of the vanilla Boruit D25 being resold by Sofirn.
The D25S listed here is customized somewhat, differing in the UI and the usage of SST40 LEDs rather than some kind of Chinese XM-L2 LEDs.

This is the stock driver:

Cutting in a Attiny85. Swapped the diode for a 4.7R because the 4.7R is pretty much required for an 85, diode is just for reverse polarity protection for the MCU:

You might notice in the last pic the green wire is not touching the pin -- fixed this after the pic.

Basically, all you need is 4 wires: power, grnd, switch, LED output. In this case the pair of 3 leg parts are FET's, or act like a FET, with resistor bank to lower the amps.

They appear to be cool-white SST40 (probably something like 6000K). Definitely not high-CRI.
