Samsung INR18650-30Q Questionable markings from trusted seller.

Does anyone have new cells, part number (on the pink wrapper) 141 that have nonstandard Line #1(Under the wrapper) markings?

I have a few sets of 30Qs from over the years including 2 sets I purchased (a week apart) from a “trusted vendor”. All of my old sets have consistent markings. The first new set was PN 138 with proper lot markings from 2019, the second set is PN 141 and contrary to a few other posters has a “L30Q” Line #1 of the lot code.

Here are some pics with adjustments to make the label more visible. PN 138 is good as expected, 141 is sketch.

I reached out to the vendor and hope to hear something Monday.

I ordered these last month.

But they lack the EM after SDI and the bottom number is 141.
Should I be worried?

All the good batches ive ever had just had the SDI there. The datasheet states they can come as “SDI” or “SDIEM”

I’m a n00b at this, just here to learn.
This wholeseller does high volume sales and his Q30 is the same as my link above… 136
My next orders will be from this site.

On my laptop hooked to an overwhelmed hotspot, dial-up speeds today.

You will be very satisfied with Liionwholesale. :+1:

I have been buying batteries there since he opened about 6 years ago

Fun fact. The cells I’m questioning are from liionwholesale.

Are you able to test them to see if they have around 3000 mAh capacity? You could also put them in a high drain flashlight to see if they are able to perform as expected. If you’re buying them from a trusted supplier, like LiionWholesale, you should be good.

Scary thing is that there are “141” version cells with proper markings still floating around. Still though, I have no reason not to recommend this vendor, theyve been good to many people myself included.

Thank you nick779.
