Update on the driver – it uses the T1634, as in the D4v2.

Now here’s the fun part – is Astrolux going to make the source code available, and the build used, as required by the GPLv3 license? Is there going to be a pogo-adapter made available, as it uses a non-standard pad layout, and can’t be flashed via a SOIC clip?

Tested pulling ~6.3A on a VCT6, too.

edit:: this was not a fun driver to get out. Short wires everywhere.

Using the 15H version check, the firmware version reads 2019-09-28 (this is also the same Anduril version date on the Meote FM1 Copper with Anduril)..

Any update on the FT03-Mini with Osram NM1 LED? Will it also use Anduril? And also, any idea what’s the max current consumption for the FT03-Mini Osram version (I suppose it has to use different power than the SST40/XHP50.2 which use higher power)

Yep, got the date – I should have checked before; so it’s version 446. Problem is though, what build target have they applied here? As of that build, the only T1634 hardware was the D4V2; is it a fork of that, or a direct “flash and go”?

What’s required is a copyright notice, a link to the code, and information about which config to use.

Will they together with the NM1 use a regulated driver at 4.5A ? A direct driver will be no good for this led.

I can see Astrolux FT03S has got some bad reviews. Has Astrolux improved their build quality with the FT03 mini?

Interested, SST-40 (5000K) or NM.1(?), depending on which one has the best throw and tint (5700K to 4000K).

NM.1 vs SST-40 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpR2bUXeaXI

Edit: If the Osram orange colour is as bright, it would be exciting to test how it works in fog and rain.

A code for the FT03 Mini XHP50.2 would be greatly appreciated as no codes appear to work from page 1 ?
Thanks

Note the more simple driver. Not a problem, just mentioning.

There is the Wainlight C8+ with Osram NM1 LED, this is very similar to other C8 flashlights, but produces a more focused (more throwy) beam, but less total light output.

right: Wainlight C8+ with Osram NM1 LED

Osram NM1 LED has a very tiny light emitting portion (the yellow square)

Osram NM1 lights up a smaller area but more intense (throws farther).

I suspect the FT03-Mini with Osram NM1 will have similar throw (or a bit better) as the Wainlight C8+ with Osram NM1, but with better user interface.

Also the Osram NM1 LED on the Wainlight C8+ only uses up to 2.8 Amps max power, not yet maximizing the Osram's potential. Hopefully the FT03-Mini will better optimize the power (maybe like 4.5 Amps of power applied to the Osram LED), and also have a well-focused reflector.
