This is in regards to packages coming Primarily from China to USA . First I will say that others[specifically Canada] have been waiting much longer. For them their is an explanation below:
Hank Wang wrote: Most of the orders from China to the US/UK/DE are shipped via special service which take about 2~3 weeks to arrive.
But there is no special service to Canada, thus we can only use Singapore post, while Singapore post shipping
time depends on the airline service, and since most of the airline service has been canceled due to the virus issue,
so, almost all the orders to Canada are stuck at “hand over to airline” status for weeks.
Once the order is shipped, it’s out of our control, we kindly ask you to wait longer.

For USA customers he states 2 or 3 weeks which is certainly acceptable. Even a month. It is the NOT knowing and NO movement that drives me nuts.
It has been two weeks since mine was shipped. That is not the concern because as the quote above states, it can take Two to Three weeks to arrive to USA Customers.
My frustration is that my package has been at LAX for Nine days!—-2020-05-13 16:45:00 LAX / Arrived at the destination airport —-
Customs do not take that long. Are they under staffed and overwhelmed with packages?
I know this thread may have the ability to drive me nuts and make me more impatient. I know the best thing to do is just pretend there is NO package. Instead of checking tracking 5 or 6 times a day!
Just wondering WHY it would be stuck in LA so long?
You can't hide me from me.
I can only tell you that I feel the same here. I have a package from Convoy that arrived to the country on the 12th May and hasn’t moved ever since. If monday it doesn’t show up in my door, I will contact the post services that will check the situation with them.
BTW, this order story:
30 march – bought
4 april – tracking number received
7 april – shipped
12 may – national reception
22 may – I’M STILL WAITING FOR IT TO ARRIVE
I share your pain

Yes. You have waited much longer. I bought mine April 29. Shipped May 9th and been stagnant [No movement] since May 13.
BTW it is a Noctigon K1 SBT90.2

1. Many countries still dont allow national post and customs workers work with regular density. There is a chance that somewhere you have a bottleneck.
2. Same time, amount of e-commerce have increased during pandemia.
3. Almost no passangers planes=bigger batches of parcels that are coming at once. Just imagine small parcels from china that have arrived in full plane, several dozen tons of goods. Hard to manage this mountain fast.

Thanks you both for input and therapy!
Most important part is that I get it. At least I know it is in USA and not stuck in China with no movement. Eventually it will get here. I am a Trackaholic also! Waiting and hoping for that track that reveals a NEW scan and movement closer to my home. It is 2400 miles/3863KM away!
You can't hide me from me.
Yup, probably all that!
I do understand those, and I am not necessarily complaining, despite the wait.
But as I had other (not so small) packages falling behind their drawers there, I always get a bit aprehensive!
Hopefully, I hope that the order from Convoy brings the package I’m getting from you too, as it was already received by customs, and also because I need it to mod some stuff I ordered from Convoy

This shipping situation does stink, but theres not much we can do about it.
I have an LT1 from Sofirn thats been stuck at the airport in Nanning, CN since 4/7. Parts from Hank shipped via Singapore Post that were “dispatched overseas” since 4/29, and a flashing kit that is completely MIA since it was shipped a week or two ago.
I dont think ive ever had a package from any overseas seller arrive in under 3-4 weeks with standard shipping and I live 10 minutes from a regional USPS hub.
I ordered a couple things in April and I knew shipping was going to take a while. So I just deleted all the shipping emails and try to forget. Then one day I’ll have a surprise. Or I’ll go to look for another light and realize that I never got something.

I see that you edited the beginning of your post. I have seen that word “Meh” on here and never anywhere else. so I looked it up.
People might think you’re a very bad-mannered person altogether. Meh is designed to be rude and dismissive – a sure-fire conversation-stopper. Users of the word are unequivocal in their total indifference to what is being discussed.

“Meh. I’m not impressed so far”
A bit different in explanation.

Right now there are at least 4 things affecting China shipping/commerce ;
1.Political unrest with Hong Kong
2. War of words and wills between their administration and the USA administration.
3.Flare ups of Covid
4. Less air package/people travel.
Now on our side of the pond we have slower customs, add it all up and it is slow boat time.

Shipping my KR4 took almost 40 days, usually its 2-3 weeks
From Canada here, my KR4 was shipped the on the first of April and today it had its first update at 50 days since email indicating shipment. 9 days without an update seems like a cake walk….. I mean its on the correct continent.
Indeed so. Compared to your waiting time 9 days is a cake walk.
Mentioned that[Canadian issues] in beginning of post. It is just something I never experienced or expected. If anything I would have thought the most travel time would have been how long it took to arrive in USA, not the delivery time once it got here.
If Muto is right, the only thing it can be is slower USA customs.
All I can do is Wait and check my tracking Twenty times a day.
You can't hide me from me.
I ordered 4 cheap 18350 cases two weeks ago. Showed up in 10 frigging days. I never saw anything that quick even before this pandemic. Tracking shows it did ship from Shenzhen. So WTH lol.

You are right in terms of 3 months vs. Two weeks. However, as I indicated in my OP, Two or Three weeks is no big deal and is Not my complaint and frustration, it is the fact that for 9 days it is stagnant and has done nothing. That is my whole point.
You can't hide me from me.
Three of my orders from last March are still in China or out over the Pacific Ocean somewhere.
Did anybody hear a splash?
Two more recent orders from April and May show, new since yesterday, as having reached California.
Thanks for the info that
In my job one of my duties involves completing applications and finishing contracts for people. The paperwork and documentation parts are pretty quick, but the from time you submit it and the time it’s finished can be 2, 3, or 5 months depending on the company, delays, etc. When the contractors or applicants ask me for status updates after only a month in, I tell them hurry up amd wait. I’m doing the same with my Chinese orders. Got some stuff ordered in March, but nothing from April yet!
My KR4 took 40 days as well. Was stuck for several weeks in Belgium.
its weird as some times its fast and sometimes its crazy slow to finland
ive got a package stuff at customs since 14/05
normally its 2 days max at customs

Possible that packages are intentionally being held to let any corovirus germs die out?
Maybe no one wants to even touch ‘em ‘til they’re “safe”.

Not a chance. It took my package 5 days from China to here
If you google..How long can the COVID-19 stay on a cardboard box you will get plenty to read. All of which say it can live up to 24 hours on a card board box.
The Virus can Not last on a box from over seas to USA. Saw a program on that with medical doctors.
“A recent study has also found that coronavirus can live on cardboard up to 24 hours.”
The risk more so arises between pickup by the delivery person, drop off at the home and thereafter.

If they really want to be safe rather than waiting it out they could toss things into a UV treatment chamber and just blast the container and release the packages quickly.
This called for a tad bit more analyzing.
From the time it left Hong Kong until it arrived in LA was 22 Hours 15 minutes. They could have quarantined the package for a few hours and it would be ready to go. It has been 9 days!

Good concept but very time consuming and unnecessary.
We would wait until Christmas to get our lights.

Maybe they have a 14 day quarantine?
This isn’t due to quarantining packages for some prescribed length of time.
Roughly half of all air cargo is transported on the lower decks of passenger aircraft. With passenger flights down something like 90%, that eviscerated air cargo capacity.
The lowest class of package shipping doesn’t generally fly on a schedule. It flies when there is room on a plane not occupied by any higher priced class of service. It’s probably in many cases not even being sorted by when it arrives. It’s well within the realm of possibility that a package could get buried under other packages that arrive at a sorting center later, leaving some percentage of packages to sit for unusually long periods of time.
The costs are going up, too. Dedicated freighter aircraft have to cover all their costs based on the cargo, and usually fly higher value cargo. In normal times, passenger aircraft cover most of the cost of the flight based on passenger tickets, and cargo is treated as ancillary revenue. We might start to see this reflected in shipping prices we pay.
Also, my limited experience with US customs on low cost shipping options has been long delays even in normal times. Even if they aren’t experiencing reduced staffing either a necessity to maintain distancing or due to employees using time off to reduce personal exposure to others, they are probably experiencing reduced efficiency due to distancing measures disrupting the way sorting and inspection operations normally work.
I’d guess items are being shipped in big bundles across the Pacific, then repackaged and addressed in the US for delivery. Today I got
That’s for one that’s previously been shown departing Country of Origin China for many days.
And it’s the most recent of five pending orders.
The next most recent one now suddenly says:
=======================================
The earlier ones back to March are still out over the Pacific somewhere.
Patience, patience, I’ll have them before the fall equinox when the nights start getting longer.
Ordered the ft03 from banggood last week, figured i’d upgrade the shipping as a test.. was only 1.80 more.
7 Days and its already in the US.
I think my K1 90.2 made it through customs!

A small story to understand how “great” air logistics is today.
Most EU countries opening their borders (with some restrictions) and some of them even allow to restart sport competitions (national football leagues).
Russian football competition will be restarted in a month, head coaches asked this time to get everyone ready in good shape. So, now it is time to return all international players from their countries. In regular life this is easy task, one private jet to each country and that’s it. But today each international flight requires lots of permissions.
A group of players (from several countries) should arrive to Russia (Orenburg) from Serbia (Belgrad) with such private jet. But 3 of them were not allowed to the plane (their football club made few mistakes in papers). Since there is no guarantee that same flight will get permission soon, they should go complicated way:
Belgrad-Zagreb
Zagreb-Frankfurt
Frankfurt-Minsk
Minsk-Moscow
Moscow-Orenburg
5 flights is a row. Technically, there is just one border. For sure they were ready to pay for another private jet. But even big money can not fix this.
Now imagine 3 million parcels instead of 3 footballers. That should pass so many local distribution and logistics centers, change many type of transport, pass many borders and customs. If at the end of pandemia most countries will get the idea how do they underestimate their spends on all this under $10 chn parcels and will set a fixed tax for each delivery, I won’t be surprised.
