What is the Hold Up?!

This is in regards to packages coming Primarily from China to USA . First I will say that others[specifically Canada] have been waiting much longer. For them their is an explanation below:

Hank Wang wrote: Most of the orders from China to the US/UK/DE are shipped via special service which take about 2~3 weeks to arrive.
But there is no special service to Canada, thus we can only use Singapore post, while Singapore post shipping
time depends on the airline service, and since most of the airline service has been canceled due to the virus issue,
so, almost all the orders to Canada are stuck at “hand over to airline” status for weeks.
Once the order is shipped, it’s out of our control, we kindly ask you to wait longer.

For USA customers he states 2 or 3 weeks which is certainly acceptable. Even a month. It is the NOT knowing and NO movement that drives me nuts.

It has been two weeks since mine was shipped. That is not the concern because as the quote above states, it can take Two to Three weeks to arrive to USA Customers.

My frustration is that my package has been at LAX for Nine days!—2020-05-13 16:45:00 LAX / Arrived at the destination airport —

Customs do not take that long. Are they under staffed and overwhelmed with packages?

I know this thread may have the ability to drive me nuts and make me more impatient. :person_facepalming: I know the best thing to do is just pretend there is NO package. Instead of checking tracking 5 or 6 times a day!

Just wondering WHY it would be stuck in LA so long?

I can only tell you that I feel the same here. I have a package from Convoy that arrived to the country on the 12th May and hasn’t moved ever since. If monday it doesn’t show up in my door, I will contact the post services that will check the situation with them.

BTW, this order story:
30 march - bought
4 april - tracking number received
7 april - shipped
12 may - national reception
22 may - I’M STILL WAITING FOR IT TO ARRIVE :person_facepalming:

I share your pain :weary:

Yes. You have waited much longer. I bought mine April 29. Shipped May 9th and been stagnant [No movement] since May 13. :person_facepalming:

BTW it is a Noctigon K1 SBT90.2

1. Many countries still dont allow national post and customs workers work with regular density. There is a chance that somewhere you have a bottleneck.
2. Same time, amount of e-commerce have increased during pandemia.
3. Almost no passangers planes=bigger batches of parcels that are coming at once. Just imagine small parcels from china that have arrived in full plane, several dozen tons of goods. Hard to manage this mountain fast.

Thanks you both for input and therapy!

Most important part is that I get it. At least I know it is in USA and not stuck in China with no movement. Eventually it will get here. I am a Trackaholic also! Waiting and hoping for that track that reveals a NEW scan and movement closer to my home. It is 2400 miles/3863KM away!

Yup, probably all that!
I do understand those, and I am not necessarily complaining, despite the wait.
But as I had other (not so small) packages falling behind their drawers there, I always get a bit aprehensive!

Hopefully, I hope that the order from Convoy brings the package I’m getting from you too, as it was already received by customs, and also because I need it to mod some stuff I ordered from Convoy :innocent:

This shipping situation does stink, but theres not much we can do about it.

I have an LT1 from Sofirn thats been stuck at the airport in Nanning, CN since 4/7. Parts from Hank shipped via Singapore Post that were “dispatched overseas” since 4/29, and a flashing kit that is completely MIA since it was shipped a week or two ago.

I dont think ive ever had a package from any overseas seller arrive in under 3-4 weeks with standard shipping and I live 10 minutes from a regional USPS hub.

I ordered a couple things in April and I knew shipping was going to take a while. So I just deleted all the shipping emails and try to forget. Then one day I’ll have a surprise. Or I’ll go to look for another light and realize that I never got something.

I see that you edited the beginning of your post. I have seen that word “Meh” on here and never anywhere else. so I looked it up.

People might think you’re a very bad-mannered person altogether. Meh is designed to be rude and dismissive - a sure-fire conversation-stopper. Users of the word are unequivocal in their total indifference to what is being discussed.

expressing a lack of interest or enthusiasm.
“Meh. I’m not impressed so far”

A bit different in explanation.

Right now there are at least 4 things affecting China shipping/commerce ;

1.Political unrest with Hong Kong
2. War of words and wills between their administration and the USA administration.
3.Flare ups of Covid
4. Less air package/people travel.

Now on our side of the pond we have slower customs, add it all up and it is slow boat time.

Shipping my KR4 took almost 40 days, usually its 2-3 weeks

From Canada here, my KR4 was shipped the on the first of April and today it had its first update at 50 days since email indicating shipment. 9 days without an update seems like a cake walk…… I mean its on the correct continent. :innocent:

Indeed so. Compared to your waiting time 9 days is a cake walk. Mentioned that[Canadian issues] in beginning of post. It is just something I never experienced or expected. If anything I would have thought the most travel time would have been how long it took to arrive in USA, not the delivery time once it got here.

If Muto is right, the only thing it can be is slower USA customs.

All I can do is Wait and check my tracking Twenty times a day. :confounded:

I ordered 4 cheap 18350 cases two weeks ago. Showed up in 10 frigging days. I never saw anything that quick even before this pandemic. Tracking shows it did ship from Shenzhen. So WTH lol.

You are right in terms of 3 months vs. Two weeks. However, as I indicated in my OP, Two or Three weeks is no big deal and is Not my complaint and frustration, it is the fact that for 9 days it is stagnant and has done nothing. That is my whole point.

Three of my orders from last March are still in China or out over the Pacific Ocean somewhere.

Did anybody hear a splash?

Two more recent orders from April and May show, new since yesterday, as having reached California.

Thanks for the info that

In my job one of my duties involves completing applications and finishing contracts for people. The paperwork and documentation parts are pretty quick, but the from time you submit it and the time it’s finished can be 2, 3, or 5 months depending on the company, delays, etc. When the contractors or applicants ask me for status updates after only a month in, I tell them hurry up amd wait. I’m doing the same with my Chinese orders. Got some stuff ordered in March, but nothing from April yet!

My KR4 took 40 days as well. Was stuck for several weeks in Belgium.

its weird as some times its fast and sometimes its crazy slow to finland

ive got a package stuff at customs since 14/05
normally its 2 days max at customs

Possible that packages are intentionally being held to let any corovirus germs die out?

Maybe no one wants to even touch ’em ’til they’re “safe”.
