Some Of My Better Throwers

I still have my Fenix TK41 and Sunwayman V60C coming hopefully this week. But I thought I would show some of my better throwers.

That's funny I have all the same lights except the Trustfire on the far right.

Nice collection! You may want to add a sst-50 thrower, I’m really interested in the MG X-Thrower sst-50 at Shiningbeam.com $ 40 bucks shipped.

Have you seen beamshots of the MG-X-Thrower, I was always curious about it.

Very nice!

Thanks.

And I still have a new Dereelight coming.

Ok, I'll bite. Which one would you grab if you could only take one?

Well look what the cat drug in. Might as well add the Sunwayman V60C to this thread that just came in the mail today. Talk about a nice light. This one just may take the cake as one of my nicer lights now.

Nice looking light. I have had a itch for that light. Can't afford it and it's nice to see you have it so we can gleam info from you. Good job.

So what your saying is your using me. LOL!

Hey seriously thanks buddy. And thanks for all the info on the TK41 and the batteries. I got my 16 Duracell NIMH 2450mah batteries today. All are 2450mah. But I don't see a date for expiration. Oh well I'm sure they will last me.

As the song says. "If it feels this good being used, you can keep on using me, Until you use me up."

I'm glad you got all the same Duracell batteries. I don't think they put an expiration date on NiMh batteries like they do with alkaline. Get those batteries charged up so you have them ready the second the TK41 touches your hand.

Okie dokie!

Nice Collection, You really do like flashlights ILikeFlashLights :)

Which one would you pick if you want the maximum throw distance (even if is a pencil beam)?

I wonder if it would save him money if he changed his name to IHATEFLASHLIGHTS?

Well it's not pictured there but probably the Dereelight. After that I would have to go with the Crelant 7G5 or Olight M3X. The Sunwayman T40CS is right behind them.

Which version of the DBS did you get, the twist model or the “regular” model and are you using (1) or (2) 18650’s or (2) CR123’s?
Thanks.

I got the DBS V3 XR-E R2 EZ900 3SM aspherical lens and I also bought the 18650 extender tube.

I posted a picture of the throw at like 80yds with it. Now I used the nite mode setting but I can tell you this light is so bright that it lights up things so much better than other LED's.

Now this may be a little brighter than what it truly is, but I can assure you this light is bad to the bone.

I’ve been emailing Jay at Flashlight Connection. He is very helpful. There are so many options with that light.
I’m considering the DBS-T using the EZ900 die (XR-E R2) which is driven at 1.5A and is 3 mode and is designed for (2)CR123, (2)RCR123, and getting the extender tube for 18500 which only adds an inch. With one 18650 it is only at half power so I wouldn’t use it that way but rather with (2) CR123 or the short extender tube as mentioned.
The twist mode allows me to use it single mode (with momentary) just by keeping the head tightened.
That’s the smallest configuration as far as I could tell that still produces full power (90kcd) and that uses the EZ900.
The single version is only driven at 1.2A and also is EZ1000 I believe.
I haven’t pulled the trigger yet but it seems like the configuration I’ve mentioned is tweaked about a well as you could for an aspheric thrower in this size and price range.
It’s also nice that it’s available in the U.S. so no long shipping wait.
That’s only a 33% increase over my $14 Smallsun zoom but that’s just the nature of the physics of throw mainly. With two batteries it is supposedly regulated (constant current) down to 5V or something like that so that’s a definite benefit.
The only thing is there is a limit to have far we can see and how big a light we’re going to carry for various activities.
These are the reasons I’m still thinking about it

Nice collection of toilet-plunger style lights!

I bet you will be going HID soon, as much as you like the large throwers.

gcbryan,

Do you have the Small Sun ZY-C10-S Q5, that has been the best $14.00 you can spend. This light is really impressive for a cheap light.
