[4K Review] IMALENT MS03 - 13000 lumens, World's Brightest EDC

My MS03 Review - Is it really 13,000 lumens though? Does it throw further than the advertised 324m? How does it handle the heat? Is it the usual IMALENT quality? How long does it hold Turbo? How does it compare to the Astrolux MF01 mini, Astrolux EC01 and Fireflies E07? Will it take other 21700’s? Is the clip and Lanyard futile?
Did I survive the finale? Did I get piss wet?

#RunAtreyu IMALENT were confident my review sample was faulty so they sent me a 2nd MS03 to test…

10,000 lumens
Throws less (264m)
It handles the heat well
Usual Imalent so-so quality
It holds very little on turbo
It is definitely much brighter than the other ones, but the brightness is distributed in flood.
I didnt see if it takes other 21700 LOL I might need to watch the video again.
The Lanyard sucks.
You got wet.

Great video! :sunglasses:

My 21700’s are way too short.
The included cell has a type c port and protection. The flashlight is like Hermoine’s handbag as the battery is longer than EC01.

Your measurements are usually on the higher side and you still measured only 10470 lumens. That’s pretty dissapointing. I’ll wait for a real 13k Lumen light.

Could be just a bad cell, others might manage 13k at turn on. Thrunite and Olight are terrible for turbo sometimes with their protected cells.

wow, it is brighter than many but doesn’t throw much most of the light is side ways flood. interesting light. Not my cup of tea. Thanks for the the review. Makes me like the MF01 mini even more. especially with the longer run times use the ManOfLight copper mod.

I like a balance of throw and flood.

Thank you for your much anticipated, valuable and comprehensive review!

I ordered two of these, along with four 40T solder spring top cells, and two VP8 chargers. Thanks to your review, I have a pretty good idea of what I can expect they can do as far as beam performance and beam profile compared to size. I don’t think I’ll be disappointed, I think I’ll be happy with them.

Your reviews are very thorough and exactly what I’m looking for, thank you!

And for a 150+ dollar light, it better be able to take standard, non-protected cells! Shouldn’t have to Mod something like this to do that :expressionless:
I’ve seen your earlier reviews, loooong gripe you had about that since ya cannot use a Samsun 40T for example.

I dislike proprietary batteries, so many torches can’t make or hold turbo that use them, but I suppose it stops muggles putting Ultrafire cells in lights.

Turbo is very bright but it plummets almost immediately

Putting things straight as some “reviewers” just want to bring you their deals and nothing else

great review and excellent video/content quality. subscribed!

Thanks!

Yeah, quite annoying.
Also, there are contact points near the positive terminal on the driver side, did you check these out ?

Yeah, I don’t know what purpose they serve, unless the light was originally designed for USB charging?

Does it work with an unprotected cell? If so maybe with a 30T, it will do 13k lumens. Protected cells severely restricts current.

I tried getting a 40T working with it today but even with some pretty big spacers it was still too short. I think an 8mm spacer might do it but the resistance might become an issue.

I don’t advocate the use of spacers tbh.

Did you try to measure current?
I did, burnt my fingers. My UT210E wasnt able to measure it on Turbo
