SureFire ST07 Mod for Convoy Tail

Hello all,

I have been kicking around the idea of wiring up a SureFire ST07 switch to my Convoy S2 - it’s a nice switch and its ruggedness has obviously been proven at this point. However the wiring is interesting - SureFire uses what look like a center-negative jack for their switches to integrate with the actual Scout light - does anyone have ideas as to how I can wire up an S2 with this switch? I don’t have a socket for it, but I’m curious as to how I can complete the circuit - the wire from the switch is shielded, but there is only one lead running to the switch itself which is throwing me for a curve- I’m no electrical engineer, but I’d like to have this wiring thought through before I begin soldering. Any help would be appreciated - I will try to get pictures later for context. Thanks!

Pics for context - hopefully someone can chime in

update for anyone who happened to be following: this was the first time I’ve seen what i thought was shielding be the positive lead… interesting- works out well!
