Battery holder for testing battery

Hi

I wonder if this is a good holder for easy testing of 18650 batteries or are there better options?

Battery holder

If you have a testing setup that uses a 4-point connection then this is the best budget option I know of for sure. Not the most elegant or friendly to use, but it works well if you are careful when installing the cells.

If you don’t have the equipment to take advantage of the 4-point connection, then a simple battery holder like this is your best bet for simplicity and user-friendliness.

Thank you JaredM for the information.
I have ordered this one battery holder so I can only hope it goes through the customs processing without any nonsense.

Is there any holder which can hold batteries from AAA to 21700/26650 batteries?

I am looking just for simple one(2point connection for ZB2L3 tester…)

Maybe gutting a Sofirn USB or XTAR MC1 charger could work for you. Cheap enough usually around 5USD

what about small magnets soldered to wire? is that good idea?

Magnets lose their magnetisation at soldering temperatures.

They are also very high resistance. BUT
If you glue magnets on the back side of contacts e.g. cut copper sheet that could be a fine solution

In the future I might get one like this: https://aliexpress.com/item/32845887429.html (type 3) It’s a bit expensive but can support very high currents and all battery types  I have one like this coming my way but I don’t think it’ll fit 21700 batteries and you also can’t pull as much current: https://aliexpress.com/item/4000606429744.html

I will probably try that last one from ali

As I said, it will be just for zb2l3 tester, which is limited to 3Amp…

Yeah it’ll probably be just fine for that, I’ll mostly use it in that range too. I also wanted to use it to do occasional 10A discharges but that’s probably pushing it a little too far… They say 5A continuous so 3A is perfect I think
