Does anyone have any experience of these lights from these sellers? Any ideas which one looks better? Would rather get one from here as it would arrive 10x faster than DX for example.
Or would you guys suggest a different one from ebay.com/DD/DX?
I got mine from Manafont. It arrived pretty fast (2 weeks) and it was very bright (driven hard) so if I were to get another one I would stick to Manafont but only because I had good success with the first one.
I second the Manafont Ultrafire version found here. Take your pick, silver or black. I just recently ordered the silver one and the build quality is much better than two I got off of Ebay (a US seller). I haven't compared how hard it's driven, or runtime, or anything between mine. 2 weeks delivery to me ordered just after Christmas.
Certainly you've seen the other threads about this famous light.
The one you linked to first does not look like it will tailstand well, buts its hard to tell. One of the ones I got from ebay doesn't tailstand in a stable manner when it is switched on. The tailcap and spring are also pretty cheesy compared to my others.
I just received a 3-mode Sipik 68 clone from Ebay.
I'm pretty impressed. It cost just $1.99 plus postage. It has a few differences from a regular Sipik SK68:
(1) fewer threads on tailcap and slightly smaller rim on tailcap. No functional difference here. This is basically just a cosmetic difference.
(2) larger lens, but same size light - This is excellent. The light is actually brighter than a non-clone SK68 in both flood and throw modes.
(3) rubber O-ring in zoom slider mechanism rather than split metal C-ring. The sliding mechanism is significantly stiffer than the non-clone SK68, and doesn't have the sound or feel of metal sliding on metal. I haven't tried opening mine to lube up the o-ring yet.
(4) 3 modes: 100%, 50%, strobe. The strobe isn't very fast... more of a signal strobe. Still, having 3 modes is a big improvement over just having one. Both lights work fine with 1.5v AA and 4.2v 14500.
The 3-mode is both cheaper and better than the non-clone SK68.
Just wanted to post to say that I have received my tomtop sipik clone. OMG it is great, this is my first LED light and it completely destroys my maglite that is 10000x bigger and heavier (and takes 2 R20 batteries)! Really impressed with it.
BangGood! Wow what a name! I guess all the people that work there could be referred to as the BangGood Gang. Of course if we were in Mexico where they say things backwards, for example where we would call the Rio Grand the Grand Rio, they would refer to it as the Gang BangGood.
