I like the clip and that it has no strobes... It's a bit like a Jetbeam B10 or Klarus P1A with an XM-L...

I saw that light earlier and made a post somewhere, was thinking of buying it but seems expensive and is only driven at 800mA then again the XGP version that I have is only driven at 600mA, which is not to bad, but Don's XPG version is driven at 1Amp.

Found it post #31

IMHO it should be about the same price as the uf 1000

What's with the paisley, Kreisler?

kreisler has gone insane and is now shilling for everything... ;-)

After our little discussion over 1AA lights and their performances on NiMHs I just looked for other competitors... and from the looks I like this clip design better than the Klarus one.

Ok, great.

Can you please remove it ?

Oh no please don't, I feel the need to shed a few pounds now without exercising.

Off to the bathroom, then.

:D

A better photo:

Why must so many lights have the silly crenelated bezels?

Looks like it tail-stands though.

Very reminiscent of the Fenix PD30. Thanks for the much better pics.

Got one of these from DX, 5 weeks delivery time. Very nice light best ultra fire I have ever seen. Waiting on 14500 for a real test. I wish they made a 2AA extension, that would be a nice addition.

forgive my dorkiness, can someone tell me if a 2AA type of light, with an XML up front, and 2 14500’s in the engine room is a realistic enterprise, and if so, what sort of output

Have you tested with 14500?

How good is with NiMh? how good with 14500?

Tx!

Saw it. Bought it. LOVE it!!!

Planning to buy more, as soon as the price comes down to the still-choking <$15USD range (no one I have ever met besides me would even consider a double-digit price on a flashlight!!).

I had bought a brace of the Trustfire F20 (single mode & 5 mode) for upgrading to “NW” XML (cnq) and this one was a $20 “impulse” item to bring a Manafont order to >$50.

Now I am not so interested in the F20 any more… :frowning:

The deep, cheap switch, the flimsy clip, non-IPX tailcap, all the rest of the F20’s drawbacks are eliminated with this one, and NO BLINKING!!! Yaaay! If you insist on modes, just slightly unscrew the head a-la Fenix & you can dim & blink (IIRC — only used this “feature” once) with the best of them.

BUT!!!

Now that I have this beauty, the F20s can go to family & friends. The F20 is less childish-looking than this ‘crenelated’ lumpy mess, but I’m getting used to the lumpy look. All it needs is a momentary-ON switch and a 5000k XML to be “perfect”… (unless you need “throw”, in which case you’re deep in the wrong jungle)

Too late! SWMBO found it!! Oh, well…

I will buy more of these, and already have “NW” XMLs to upgrade them (no, I won’t, until I can find a reliable source with an accurate eye for “Neutral” white), and will be actively seeking the ‘normal’ switch.

It just dawned on me that I should try the pill from this one in an F20…………

BRB…

Oh, well. I was smoking crack, it seems, or cracking smoke. The pill in this one is very interesting, but completely NON-interchangeable.

I’ve had a chance to kill a few batteries with this one, and it just keeps getting better!! IDK about 14500, because I have none. But rechargeables and alkalines work well enough for EDC. Full Disclosure, on days when I use a flashlight, this is perfect for size and light OTF, and it takes about 1 battery (either kind) per work day.[/opinion]

Be still my heart…

I keep telling myself I learned to tolerate them when I left an incan P60 clone on its head. Apparently I accidentally activated the button when I put it down & didn’t find out about it until it had A: killed $6.00 worth of batteries, 2: scorched a nasty spot on the table, and III: cooled to room temperature again!

That was AFTER a friend did the same thing with a million CP spotlight on his boat seat…

Still, I completely concur with “silly”!

At least it doesn’t blink!
