I’ve read that the H17Fx doesn’t need a bleeder to use a lighted tail. However, I just test fit two with a lighted tail from Simon and there are problems. The tail LEDs flicker slightly, and it has the dreaded next mode memory. With the original switch, the driver works fine.
So, it sounds like I need a bleeder resistor. I haven’t done one before and would love some H17Fx specific advice.
Can I put the resistor between the spring and the middle pin of one of the 7135s? Is there a better place?
Any suggestions for testing resistors values before soldering any in place?
