I can confirm the Pro is FET+1. It follows the design of the SP36, as they claim they are running the same exact Anduril version as for the SP36.
I pulled the driver. Weak glue holds it in place. 4 wires to the side switch. Used a solder pick to push down on the driver thru the LED+ wire hole, no hammering, just pressure – didn’t damage anything. The driver has Chinese lettering on it, based on the SP36 design.
Think mine reads voltage high as well. Sounds like all the differences reported read high.

Thank you very much Tom
did you take any picture of the disassembly ?
Just received mine, there are no apparent flaws visible like misaligned charging port or foggy lens. As it uses FET+1 driver, is it safe to run it with 30Q or VTC6 I have laying around?

Ran mine first few hours on a topped-off 25R (more current that the above), so should be fine there.

Thanks Tom E. This is helpful. Do you have to de-soldier the switch wires to pull the driver out?
I didn't for the pics. Dunno yet - didn't take the switch cover off yet - sometimes you can squeeze the switch board thru the hole. Even if you can't, I've dremel'ed out the hole a bit to make it fit thru on other lights. You could though leave it like I have it to re-program. You can get access to the MCU this way. The FET is somewhat buried behinf the USB-C connector.
The springs don't seem to get fully compressed on a flat top cell, so could probably pick up some power by adding bypasses.
The white stuff is thermal grease, not glue - actually looks like decent quality - moist, right amount applied.
Thanks Tom E, your pictures and your Description in post #150 are really really helpful. I ordered 2 SC31 Pro, i think I can try one for experiment/learning , I’m interested in Anduril-2
Got mine in 5000K as well. Great value overall, great tint with no green. Sharp fins and sharp lanyard hole, as is tradition. Lanyard hole doesn’t align with anything like it does on my FC11. Also, not happy with the smooth reflector. Thinking of trying to put OP from FC11 or a TIR. All in all, my new EDC with a short tube. Just need that deep carry clip now.
Btw, I added voltage cal to Anduril, but only to the 2019 version. TK changed the voltage reading quite a bit since, so it would take a little time to port. After years of frustratingly voltage cal’ing each individual mod light for Narsil, finally built it in to Anduril.
I got Anduril working like Narsil: 3C to voltage, 2C next to temp, 2C next to version #. When you are in voltage reaging mode, 4 clicks to calibration.
Maybe this could be a worthwhile feature to incorporate into Andúril 2.0? I talked to Sofirn about the importance of an accurate thermal calibration today. As it’s probably a PITA for any manufacturer to do the factory calibration for each single flashlight, it will need to be highlighted much more in a „Getting Started“ section of the manual. Adding a voltage calibration would fit into this section seemlessly.
According to Sofirn, the button LED turns red when battery is lower than 2.8V. I am thinking, does it make sense? 2.8V sounds too low to me, at 2.8V battery is basically empty.
Anyone else find it disappointing that a "Pro" light with perhaps the quintessential hobbyist's UI is still glued together? It's not like there's a thread with perhaps the most loyal customers asking for Sofirn to reconsider that practice…
You mean the blue stuff? If you read the description of blue Loctite, it's the mildest form of Loctite there is:
Is it normal that I can feel the light buzz in my hand when in rapid strobe mode? It’s like a vibration. I can feel the pulses. Does anyone else’s do this?
I got mine today. I wanted a FC11 style light with Anduril, and this fits the bill. It’s my first experience with the SST-40 5000K and it’s interesting how it changes tint. At low to medium brightness it appears close to 4000K, but as you ramp to high the hotspot goes to 5000K with a a slight violet/pinkish hue. The tint may not be consistent, but I like it.
For the price I paid during the Aliexpress sale, this was a steal.
Just got mine the other day and took it for a walk last night. Don’t have much to add to what has already been said, I love it. I had been carrying a SP32V2 with short tube and this is 4mm shorter! Regulated mode is enough for me on my walk. Ok, yeah its not high CRI but I like the 5000k emitter. The only thing I haven’t seen mentioned is the modes for the button. It comes in low and you can shift to high, off and a breathing mode that varies from low to high. Fun. I like this trend to smaller and smaller Anduril lights. Now lets get that SP10 in Anduril going. And thanks to Sofirn for making this the most affordable Anduril light out there.

Off-Low-High-Breathing button LED has been around for quite some time in Anduril-based flashlights (even the older Anduril versions used in the SP36 Anduril or IF25A, also have this function). Although the SC31 Pro’s Anduril is much newer (2020 with the new updates, whereas the ones on the IF25A/SP36 Anduril seems to be based on a 2018-version Anduril).
My favorite Sofirn light last year was the SP36, and this year it’s the SC31 Pro. Best budget Anduril light in my opinion. The only fault I found so far is that battery voltage reading is off by 0.2V.
Thank you very much Tom!!!

How many lumens at minimum of ramp?
Just got mine after a hold up in customs. Really impressed. Excellent value and no issues noted. I will order another.

AFAIK, or at least based on the current draft of Anduril 2.0’s documentation, voltage calibration is included: https://bazaar.launchpad.net/~toykeeper/flashlight-firmware/anduril2/vie...

Guess it's still glue...
What’s the simplest way to remove the chamfer from the lanyard hole so it doesn’t chew up a lanyard?
Very nice flashlight

Yup, that’s a nice SC31 PRO. Is everything ok? The usb-c charging port ok or is it off center?
