Acebeam X10 is a compact size aluminum built flashlight with high light output.
The X10 has two switches, one placed on the side and one tactical in the tail, develops a maximum output of 7000 lumens and its beam reaches a maximum distance of 469 meters for 54990cd.
The X10 is equipped with 9 SAMSUNG LH351D (CRI≥90) LEDs, for short range illumination, and a CREE XHP35 HI LED for deep illumination.
Acebeam X10 offers 5 brightness levels plus the special Strobe mode and is powered by a 4000 mAh (high drain) 21700 Li-ion rechargeable battery included in the sales package. Acebeam X10 is equipped with an electronic lock and is an indispensable aid in the exploration of caves, search and rescue, and all out-of-town activities.
It is IPX68 certified (5 meters submersible) with an impact resistance of 1 meter.

The Acebeam X10 arrives in a rigid black cardboard box with magnetic closure. The main features are listed on the front and rear, while inside we find the X10 protected by a polyurethane foam and accessories.

I am a good fan of Acebeam having some of the best products of this brand at home. After the partial disappointments of the K30 GT and E10 I bought the X10 attracted by the beauty and compactness of the torch that manages with its 10 LEDs to bring out 7000 lumens capable of meeting any short and medium range lighting need. Acebeam X10 grips well and has small dimensions considering the total length of 141mm. It is made up of three parts: head, body and tail.
The supplied holster is of quality very useful for carrying the flashlight in the belt of the trousers.
The battery supplied with the Acebeam X10 is a Li-ion IMR 21700 (IMR21700H-400A) rechargeable through the USB-C port located on the top of the same. It is over 77mm long. It took me just over 4 hours and 30 minutes (1.1A) to fully charge the battery. In the upper part it is equipped with an LED which is red when recharging and green when it is finished.
The head of the Acebeam X10 has cooling fins. In the lower part we find the metal switch and to its left the notification LED.
The bezel of the Acebeam X10 is slightly crenulated and protrudes for glass protection. The illuminating part combines the spot and flood light beam through the central CREE XHP35HI LED and the 9 LEDs with Samsung LH51D (CRI≥90) TIR lens on the side. The lens is made of hardened ultra-clear mineral glass with an anti-reflective coating. The LEDs are well centered for a uniform light beam and the CW tint isn't particularly cool. Finally, the writings on the flashlight are well made and legible.
The side power button is made of metal, flat and generously sized. However, I found it a bit difficult to press it with gloves, it would certainly have been more effective if it had been highlighted. The click is good but too sensitive, I would have preferred a rubber button with a little more resistance to pressure. Through this switch we can completely manage the UI of the Acebeam X10. The torch has an electronic and manual lock (by slightly unscrewing the tail cap).
The power indicator, next to the power button, shows the battery voltage. The low voltage warning reminds you when the batteries need to be replaced. This indicator is always illuminated when the X10 is switched on.
Green light constantly on, battery voltage ＞ 3.2 V.
Red light constantly on, the battery voltage is between 3.2V ~ 3V.
Flashing red light, battery voltage ＜ 3 V （Charge or replace the battery)
On the body of the Acebeam X10 we find a nice raised knurling that improves the grip with the hands. The torch body can be completely unscrewed; on both sides we find a water and dust seal O-ring. The threads on the head side are not anodized.
The contacts for the battery are secured by a double spring on the head, very rigid, and by a single spring on the tail cap, both plated. From the tests I made it is possible to power the X10 with other high-drain batteries (Acebeam recommends at least 30A), such as the Acebeam 21700 IMR21700NP-510A with 5100 mAh but not for example with the performing Samsung INR21700-40T 4000mAh with 35A this being unprotected and therefore too short.
On the Acebeam X10 we find, before the tail cap, the tactical ring that greatly limits rolling. To extract it, the water and dust seal O-ring must be removed. On the ring there is a hole for inserting the supplied lanyard.
On the tail cap we find the tactical rubber switch that allows you to turn on the X10 in Turbo mode, depending on the previously selected LEDs, allowing momentary-on. The button needs a lot of force to press and its click is loud. The shape of the tail cap partially protects it from accidental ignitions but does not allow the Acebeam X10 to be placed in tail stand.

Acebeam X10 has 1 CREE XHP35 HI depth LED and 9 SAMSUNG LH351D LEDs (CRI≥90) with alluvial beam. The depth LED can be used together with flood beam LEDs or separately.

Tactical tail switch
When the flashlight is unlocked, click on the tactical tail switch for momentary and constant activation to the Turbo (All-ON mode).
Please note that if you operate the tactical tail switch first, any side switch operation is useless.

Mode switching
When the flashlight is off, make a quick click and then another click and hold the side switch to toggle between All-ON, Round-ON and Center-ON, loosen the switch in the selected mode.
Output selection
When the flashlight is on, press and hold the side switch to cycle through Low, Medium and High modes, loosen the switch on the selected output.
The last mode and the last selected output will be stored. Ultra-Low and Turbo cannot be stored.
Turbo
Double click the side switch to access the Turbo output.
Strobe
Triple click to access strobe (All-ON mode) regardless of whether the flashlight is on or off.
Ultra-Low
When the flashlight is off, press and hold the side switch for 2 seconds to switch to Ultra-Low.
Lock / Unlock
When the flashlight is off, press and hold the side switch for 5 seconds, the flashlight will be locked after 3 seconds of ultra low flashes. It is useless for both side switch operation and tail tactical switch operation.
Unlock: When the flashlight is locked, press and hold the side switch for 6 seconds, the flashlight will be unlocked and turn on in Ultra-Low mode. (Note: To unlock, the tail switch must be turned off first, the power indicator can indicate that the tail switch is on or off)
Beam and Runtime:
The beam of the Acebeam X10 has an excellent white color that is not too cold, i think below 6500K. It has a well-defined spot and a large bright spill. There are no weird dominants or aberrations. Side lighting begins adjacent to the walk. Given the light power emitted in Turbo mode, it is recommended to use gloves in this mode to avoid getting burned.
The Runtimes were done indoors at a temperature of about 28 ° C with the help of a small fan at a distance of one meter. The battery used is the one supplied with the flashlight, a fully charged 4000 mAh Acebeam 21700 IMR.
I want to clarify that the values expressed by the graphs must be taken as a reference above all because they are made with means and environmental conditions different from those used in the laboratory.
The tests were done by putting the X10 in TURBO mode (7000 lm.) and in HIGH (1800 lm.) With all 10 LEDs on (All-ON).
The runtime obtained is roughly the one declared by the house. Unfortunately, the Acebeam X10 at the end of the test suddenly turns off with the only warning of the status LED flashing red.

Conclusions:
Acebeam X10, like other flashlights of the same house, is a well built flashlight, compact in size that holds well. Excellent light output of 7000 lumens using all 10 available LEDs. Equally valid is the possibility of excluding some to partially optimize the runtime. The levels are well spaced even if I would have preferred the ultra-low level, with the central led being lower. I would also have preferred the rubber side button for a better feeling and to improve involuntary starts. It is a pity that the X10 cannot be powered by unprotected 21700 batteries due to the length of the tube which prevents contacts with the springs placed on the positive and negative sides. Finally, I cannot fail to report the sudden turning off of the flashlight without a preventive lowering of the brightness.
