Convoy M21C and M26C Feedback

Just got them from BG. I love the lights but some QC issues. Both arrived with a loose bezel, the glass was rattling a bit. I had to use excessive twisting force of the bezel to get it tight enough for the rattle to stop.

Both lights have this annoying ring at the outer limit of the spill part. Its more noticeable on shorter distances.

Other than that, still worth the $30 I paid for each one.

I had to do the same. The ring is “normal” wit xhp70.2

How is the ramping on yours? I don’t like it and will set it to modes. It’s not comparable to Anduril.

Also I don’t like that when you long press for low, you can’t go to the next mode. You have to turn of the light and turn it on with a normal press.

Great light otherwise.

Swabs posted Before and After swapping the original OP reflector for SMO,
The beamshot with OP looks really nice, I don’t see the rings.

Michaeltmohr has a US based Convoy store.

You dont want to buy a chinese light from a US store. All they do is get it from china themselves and mark it up. Better get it from BG. Much better selection, and the lowest prices. Just plan to wait 30-90 days for it.

Can you tell more about that ramping? What makes it different?

Does not respond immediately, but then goes to fast and overshoots the desired level.

That’s a good info.

What about side by side size of those two? Is battery tube the only difference and both got same size of head?

Ironically, the head is bigger in the M21, and the body is longer.

Hmm I wonder if the M21C’s heat dissipation is better because it obviously has bigger head.

M26 gets barely warm after 3 min on high. M21 does not feel warm at all after 3 min. Both excellent lights. As for the UI, its simple. If you need the manual for the UI, that’s not a good thing. The Narsil UI is like that.

What about weight difference without cell?
I’m just thinking about what Convoy I should get.

Not a big difference, if anything the 26 feels a bit better and of course the longer run time is always a good thing.

Just adding to this,

Really pleasantly surprised by this light.
Had two FT03S XHP50.2 with the Anduril firmware which I bring everywhere and just needed some bright, compact flooders.

Bought 2 x M26C XHP70.2 5000K and 4000K in the 4 mode format for the guys/gals/gits who don’t want to mess with a million functions.
Bought direct from Simon on Aliexpress (Convoy, requested OP reflectors for all of them and got it. This guy always delivers.

Running on LiitoKala 5100mAh 26650s (Light Blue, purchased 2021)

You are the light of the world. Like a city on a hill, you cannot be hidden.
People do not light a lamp and then hide it away, instead they put it where it gives lig

Just To add some info, although I’m not trying to suggest where people buy their items from, but this is a fact. I also know some people for good reason extremely dislike Aliexpress. I am not one of those people, but I get it if they burned you or whatever.

The Convoy flashlight store (https://convoy.aliexpress.com/store/330416) on AliExpress is Simon’s store, the guy who makes and designs all convoys. Sorry if you already knew that. I don’t know if it helps him to buy directly from his store, and there are many “convoy” stores on AX that aren’t his, but the linked one is.

I have ordered many many parts and lights from Simon there on AX, and nothing has come to me (in US) short of perfect.

That is all. Go straight to the source for less problems. Plus 95% of the time he has the best price, unless some dealer is blowing out a light at a great price, and 100% of the time he has the newest versions of the convoy lights/drivers/led options.

I will add- the reason why I’m posting this is because Simon is really one of the best makers/manufacturers/business people out there. In my somewhat limited experience I haven’t received better customer service by anyone. Hank also has equal service (in my experience), but this is about Simon. He is fantastic.
