I may be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that’s just part of the manufacturing process of the optic (injection moulding), perfectly normal Smile

All carclo optics have that same thing.

Agreed. I just started swithcing out my optics (10622 for 10621, 23, etc) and noticed these. In the FW3XX they are smaller, but in my Emisar D4V2 Brass (just received this weekend!) and the 10621/222/23 optics, they almost serve as a “holding tab” so the optic “clicks” in when installed, actually very helpful to hold it in place so the bezel is easier to retighten. Thats what I noticed at least.
