duracell gaurentee

the kids battery in his as rc-c6 crapped out, so I went to change it. Pulled the cap off and it leaked everywhere. The experation date was barely visable, but was able to read 2018. Called them up and within 3 mins on the phone they had a check for 15 ready for me. Just wanted to share my story for those who don't like alkaline

I had one leak in a flashlight and they wanted me to post it in to them at my expense. I fixed it anyway so didn't bother.

This is technically off-topic, as it has to do with rechargeable Duracells.

My mom was charging Duraloops in a dumb charger... the batteries leaked, and the charger was ruined! My response: What do you expect from a dumb charger? I'm glad the leak wasn't very dangerous as Duraloops are pretty safe even when they are overcharged and self-destruct. She was going to buy a new charger (probably another dumb one) so I just gave her one of my smart chargers. Moral of the story: Stay away from dumb chargers!

Interesting, never heard of a Duraloop/NiMh leaking. Had a bunch of non **loop ones go bad.

This is not right but i have been buying batts and use a maha charger to check capacities.......if the cells are not close to the rated capacity then i send them and email or call by phone. They would ask me how it was measured and my method for testing capacity, dumbfounded the guy would either send me a coupon or send new cells. If your spending money on good quality cells that are advertised to be this mah and are not, lets just say that i have a lot of duraloops, powerex, and energizers. In my storage lights or lights that dont take rcr liths i like to use primary lithiums.
