i was looking at the zanflare one on amazon, how is it compared to the likes of vapcell s4+ or astrolux vc04 or xtar vc4s? those are the only chargers i kinda know about
I have the Zanflare and love it. It is the best all around charger I’ve run I to. It analyzes/tests (the cell mR is actuly really close to actual, within 5% or so) charges (300mA, 500mA, or 1A x4 bays) and does all chemistries except Hv and lifep04. Other downside is no dedicated discharge mode and no batteries over 70mm long.
Astrolux VC04 is a new charger, and doesn’t appear to give much info about the batteries. Just a more basic charger.

ZanFlare C4 is good, but I think 21700 batteries may not fit properly or will be more difficult to fit.
(I also have a Zanflare C4 but haven’t been using it much after I got some other more advanced chargers now;
I think my C4 might have a slight issue — the 2nd slot (2nd from left) seems to be affected by insertion of battery in the 1st slot (left).
So if I’m doing some capacity testing in slot 2, and I inserted or removed a battery in slot 1, there is a tendency to “reset” the slot 2 (it will go to default charging mode).
the other slots seem to not be affected by moving another battery slot (eg. slot 3 and 4 are OK, as long as I don’t touch the battery while inserting/removing battery in the other slot, the other slots don’t get affected.)
Only the slot #2 is sensitive to having a battery inserted/removed from slot #1…
Vapcell S4+ is a newer charger, and can accept protected 21700 batteries, so it should be easier to remove/insert batteries. although the middle batteries may be a bit more difficult to remove if 21700 batteries are inserted (the width is tight to pull out the batteries) — but the same may also be said of the narrower-width chargers.
I think for easier placing/removing batteries, a wider slot makes that easier, but that means the charger would be bigger and occupies more space (eg. the Xtar Dragon VP4 Plus has space for 4x 32650 batteries or 4x “D” size batteries — that makes it one of the widest chargers I know of. (easy to remove battery due to width)
have u used vc04 personally? or know of anybody who has? basic charger is fine, but im wondering about the build quality and charging capabilities, i had a shit charger where i accidentally put the batteries in reverse, and it heat up the spring for like 5 seconds, making it coil up and somehow lost its elasticity, thus rendering it unuseable
In the Yonii D4 picture, it shows these info:
voltage, battery capacity percentage, charging time, charged capacity, charging current dial
usually I'd prefer an IR measurement (eg. the ZanFlare C4 and Miboxer chargers show fairly consistent IR measurements, for flat-tops).

I notice there is also another new Astrolux AC04 charger, which looks very similar to the Yonii D4 Plus charger.. Again, will wait to see if these chargers are acceptably good entry-level chargers..
