I just successfully placed an order for NOV-Mu with E21A R9050 2000K! I also ordered E12R with Nichia 219B sw45k.

There are 2 emitter types available:
Nichia E21A R9080 4500K
Nichia E21A R9050 sm2050 2000K

Just put in an order for the R9080 4500K! Looks rad.

Would love to see a soda can light with these emitters and a good heatsink for longer turbo.

I would prefer the 6500k version, or perhaps the 5700k one

The 5700K E21A have been tested to be 6,000K+ on turbo.

I just ordered two of these! I already have the KR1 4500K and 2200K mule and use them on a daily basis. The NOV-MU fixed or added all the features I wished to see in the KR1 mules. I ordered the 4500K and 2000K.

I was waiting for the E21A 2000k because it is the best “white” emitter in existence for preserving night vision, least suppression of melatonin, and closest to candle light. Perfect for use as a permanent table lamp or candle replacement with USB-C plugged in.

Ordered one of these with the discount code, but was disappointed to see no E21A thrower for sale to go with it Sad
My current SST20 thrower gets too hot and kills battery…

personal code in email, probably sent to people that ordered before.

Should be “possible” with very custom reflector and lens…lol. Doubt it would be worth the design or production cost though

I spoke with Jack and he said I would get one too but still haven’t seen it yet. Was it a generic code that’s seemed like everyone can use was it a personalized one? Thanks for responding.

I think the codes could be personal as for some reason, I got two of these emails, and they have different codes.

Hmm, I’ve ordered direct from fireflies twice but I didn’t get a coupon. Sad

I have ordered flashlights from FireFlies directly before, but did not received a coupon yet. Maybe these codes are sent out manually, so I hope, that I will also get coupon(s).

With the coupon price, I would be interested in one 4500K.

EDIT: I got coupon on 8th December, thanks very much – preordered Smile

Interesting these lights ship with Anduril2. I would think they are the first production lights with Anduril2?

Why are the new FF lights only rated IP65? I get that these are novelty lights, but most other manufacturers are able to build properly waterproof lights. I find this a bit disappointing to be honest, also given the price points.

I found Lux-Perpetua initial graphic of Anduril 2 useful since this model is using it.

The possibility of tint mixing in between 2000K and 4500K would have made this light a whole lot more appealing.

Single tint version is also very good for many uses, but I can agree, that a variant with ToyKeeper’s tint mixing UI could be another highlight product for FireFlies.

I’d personally suggest these changes (product idea for a lantern):
- adding 3500K to the tint choices
- making the tint mixing between 2000K and 3500K – this could make it extra moody, and mixed tints would not be too rosy (staying close to the BBL is better, extreme negative duv values are similarly unattractive like significantly positive duv values).
- adding a trapezoid thread to the flashlight bezel on the outer side, and making a diffusor (including a mirror-like element on its inner top side to redistribute light more horizontally), which could be screwed onto the flashlight head using that thread.
- keeping the compatibility with the current battery tube, but also letting usage of a newly designed 3×21700 battery tube (batteries should be contacted well, even if they are flat tops – double spring on the bottom and separate metal disc contacts /with at least 6mm diameter/ on top)

The 3×21700 battery tube and the screw-on diffusor could make this flashlight into an even better than BLF LT1 lantern.
