E12 2700K more than 6W

Are there any E12 bulbs that output at 2700K that run in the 8-10w range? The highest I’ve been able to find (where it’s legit, not counting fake numbers on eBay) is 6W and even that is very difficult. In stores where I live 5.5W is as much as it gets. Anyone know of any bulbs that fit my needs?

Yes there are but if you are looking at the A19 bulb design (shaped like a standard incandescent bulb) they are hard to find because all of the LEDs must fit on a circular plate half way up the bulb. The electronics needed to change AC to the correct DC voltage and mA requirements are below that plate. You can buy corn bulbs with individual LEDs or a similar bulb with chip-on-board LED array and find many available. If the specifications are listed in watts consumed rather than “equivalent watts” compared to an incandescent bulb you get a better idea of the real usage and lumen output. I have many of both types of bulbs throughout my house with watt ratings up to 15W.

These are more efficient than the corn bulb but a little harder to find. I bought mine from this company (Ranpo) who manufacturers them. All have been in use for a couple of years with zero failures.

Thanks for the reply! I ordered 2 of those and when I get them I’ll see how they fare.

Just got them in and just like pretty much every eBay lightbulb, the wattage figure is grossly exaggerated, more than double the actual wattage. I replaced 2 of my 6w bulbs with these “12w” bulbs and it was noticeably dimmer. Don’t have a tester but there’s no way these are more than 5w. No good.

Have you considered using an adapter (if you have space) that will bring E12 -> E26?

Have you thought about a socket adapter for a standard base bulb?

I don’t know if I have the space, but I’ll give that a shot.
