Blue Bomb?
I have a blue unprotected battery from a Dinodirect combo pack. It reads 3.87. I put it in an older Armytek Predator to see how high the current draw would be on a low battery for full brightness. It would only draw around .58. So I tried a newer Predator and the amperage spiked up over 2.5 then cut off into moonlight mode. I'm never using this battery again but can one of you experts explain to me what exactly is going on?

Yeah, I already said I was.  I just want to know what's going on with it out of curiosity.

From what I've learned, --feel free to correct me.....is that it will not charge past that due to a high level of resistance in the battery, indicating the battery is old.

Isn't that normal for regulated drivers? The driver tried to pull the needed current initially but sensing not enough juice it automatically switched to low mode?

I like: walks on the beach, sushi and things that are paisley.
