UV LEDs

i’m looking at sofirn’s SP31 UV and SF32 UV

i’m trying to find out what the difference is in the UV LED, the SF32 UV has LEUVA33U70RL00, but i cannot for the life of me find a similar page for SP31 UV’s UVA35W01RL00, which i’m assuming is missing the “LE” in the front, because all LG UV LED seem to be named this way, but regardless, there is no 35-W01-RL00, the closest one is 35-W70-RL00.

so does anybody know if LEUVA35W01RL00 exists? if so, what are the specs? and how is it different from the LEUVA33U70RL00?

also, for UV LEDs, what spec should we look for?

djozz has tested quite a few different UV leds if you search the forums, but have a look at this thread for starters

Basically what you want to look at is the wavelength: 365nm vs 395nm or about anything else. There are now some UV-C leds coming out in the 200-280nm range (usually 250, 265, or 275) but that’s not what we’re talking about.

Also search on “ZWB2 filter”. The diodes all emit some amount of visible light in addition to the UV. The filter blocks out most of the visible light, which can be both a good and bad thing. The good part is it makes the UV fluorescence much better. The bad part is you can no longer tell visibly how much light is coming out, and if you’re not careful, your eyes can get burnt.
