Hey, everyone! I’ve been out of the flashlight game for a few years but this past year have gotten back into it.
I’m working on a mod and need to know if the new 3v xhp50.2 leds (5050 footprint) can be mounted onto the 3535 mcpcbs. I seem to recall others doing it in the past but can’t locate those posts by search. I have an older triple xm-l2 light I want to replace with xhp50 but the mcpcb is aluminum and I would like to use the triple 32mm Noctigon mcpcb but it looks like they are only available with 3535 pads. Can I securely reflow the xhp onto this or, if not, does anyone have an older 5050 version laying about they can spare?
led4power's website is not working for me: https://led4power.com/. Might be a long shot.
Problem is any of the new MCPCB's are for new LED footprints, like the 3030's or 4040's, so not much goin on with 5050's. The XHP50.2 3V and SST-40 though are both impressive new gen LED's.
MascaratumB, that appears to be exactly what the doctor prescribed. Will hit up VoB and confirm it works with the Ledil Cute3 optics. Thanks a bunch for the tip and the welcome back.
It should be a good one. It’s an old Olight SR Mini Intimidator. Replacing the driver with a 26mm mtn FET+1 running Anduril and installing shaved xhp50.2 3v LEDs. hope to be making at least 10k lumens. Should be a fun project.
