New upgrade of XTAR RC2-200 EDC light

Glad to share XTAR RC2-200 upgrade was completed! Compared with the version before, new version has some changes:

1. The moonlight you like came back.
2. We separated the lighting modes from simple one mode to three lighting modes – single press to normal white lighting, double press to red/blue/green lighting, and triple press to SOS/Strobe mode.
3. We added a lock mode to avoid occasionally turn on. And memory function is added as well.
4. SOS mode is also added for emergency contact.

More details on website: XTAR RC2-200 EDC Ligh. How do you think of this design?

I’m late to the game but i have three of the old version and think the new version looks interesting. 200 lumens is an upgrade, though i would have also enjoyed even more lumens.

I love my original RC2, and the new one looks good. One improvement in the new model not mentioned above is (apparently) that you can turn the light off without going through all of the other output levels.

The only downside of the new model to me is that the new model has a magnet inserted in the clip – which unfortunately means that I will not be able to use one, as I can’t risk demagnetizing my exit-entry and ID cards.

The magnet is removable from my quick online research.
That said i’m glad they are making them again because the battery is permanent and once its gone i will have to replace mine, but 200 lumens is only a slight upgrade, not enough to make me buy any until mine die.

Indeed.
The first generation the clip broke so making it metal is an interesting idea, though the clamp holding it to the light is still plastic so i’m not sure if they have actually fixed the problem.
