Which charger to keep?!?

Ok so I ordered the miboxer c4-12 and I also have the nitecore ums4. The miboxer for here but just something feels off about it. Seems harder to use tho I haven’t really tried yet. Which one do you guys think I should keep, or chick knr is better? Or should I just keep. Oath of them. I kind of want to return one of them to get my money back. The miboxer was almost 50$ and nitecore was 39. The miboxer has kinda visible scratches all over the front plastic/glass cover which makes me thinks it’s used. I don’t know which one to keep or if I should just keep both. I have a total of 12 batteries I use but 3 of those are backups. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and happy holidays cheers!!!

The scratches you see in the C4-12 might just be the thin plastic protective cover?

I’d keep them both, eventually you’ll end up with more anyway!

Return miboxer.

It’s always good to have a backup in case one lets out the magic smoke.

My miboxer makes an annoying high pitch hiss and sometimes changes in tone while it’s on, is this normal? It’s not very loud but if I put my ear up to it I can hear it.

Can’t help but to think of the old joke…

“Doc, it hurts when I do this!”

“So don’t do that.”

Hi I have been learning about my new vapcell s4 plus. But am not sure about a couple of things. When running a capacity test can the discharg current be manually set to 1a. It seems I can set charge current to 3a,but can't set the discharge current. Also will charger discharge at 1a in all 4 bays or is it 1a in bays 1 and 4,and .5a in bays 2 and 3. Which is what mine has been doing Any help would be a great help. Thanks.

All you have to do is put the batteries in and let them charge. The only way to make it easier is to get someone to insert them for you.

What did you do with the c4-12?

I posed this question before in another message thread here in BLF, and Vapcell replied saying the S4 Plus automatically decides which charge current to use when doing a capacity test… I myself haven’t exactly figured out when it uses 0.5A discharge current and when it will use 1A discharge current. When in Capacity Test mode, the charge current can be selected, but the discharge current doesn’t seem selectable, and doesn’t seem (not very sure) to be correlated to the selected charging current.

The inner 2 slots are limited to 0.5A discharge current, so it will only use that. But the outer 2 slots - not sure when it decides to discharge at 1A or 0.5A…

So the max discharge current (when doing manual discharge mode) would be 2x 1A discharging (outer 2 slots) and 2x 0.5A discharging (inner 2 slots).
