My name is Henry (aka Mac_theknife). I’m just recently enjoying the whole flashlight/knife world though can’t afford to buy most of the good (but pricey) items I keep eyeing.
I’m joining this on a suggestion from a fellow Olight Facebook page member in hopes of broadening my horizon to more than just Olight (the only lights I’ve had experience with so far). In the two days I’ve been a member I’m a bit overwhelmed on the variety of (apparently quality) flashlights coming out of Asia these days. I thought that most of the things floating over in the Maersk freighters were disposable, barely working, wastes of money. Boy, am I finding that is so incorrect.
I needed a hobby this winter and I think this will be it. But I need so much education, I have no background in electronics, batteries or chargers. I hope to get accustomed to how the forum is laid out in short order. Some of the posts I’ve opened, then Googled for the flashlights price, only to find out there is no such creature. Then I look back to the date and it’s from 2016. So I suppose I must be careful of the dates before committing to reading for beneficial info.
Anyway, I’m on the coast in Virginia near Yorktown if anyone else is in the vicinity.
I guess that’s all for now, hopefully I can get up to speed in short order. This whole modding thing seems like it would fills some time voids for me during the cold winter evenings.
