Hello everyone. Welcome to the People’s Choice Award. I’ve made things hard this year by not formatting the main challenge with podiums (first>second>third) so you have no opportunity to disagree with the judges  This might have left some of you feeling confused, wondering what’s going on and how the judging process works. Apologies for that and for those that enjoy having that competitive spur to do better next time. The philosophy is to ‘challenge ones self’ not each other…. and let’s be honest, we had more prizes than participants :person_with_crown: Thank you again to all our sponsors

The People’s Choice however does not work to any set criteria. It is simply a popularity contest where votes are cast on the whim of the voter. Those with the competitive spirit will enjoy this more since the results are publicly available for everyone to see. The prize will be the last remaining Old-Lumens Bundle :open_mouth:

I’ve made a separate thread full of gif’s to give a quick refresher of all the goodness the participants achieved this year. It’s in a separate thread because i thought it might be a little pic heavy for those with slow(er) internet.

So who’s your fav?

It is definitely an advantage that this year the judges did not specify winners because this way people need to think about which one they liked best instead of just choosing the first place for the people’s choice.

Tough choice with so many great builds. You would need two or three votes. :innocent:

Great work putting all of those gifs together, that helps a ton.

Also, picking just one is impossible! So many great entries, so hard to choose. And what an excellent prize!

I’m part of the “people”, so I voted

Hope that more folks on the forum can take the time to look to the build threads or to the OL 2020 quick reference for a quick sight!

Again, congrats to all of you for your works
:+1:

:sunglasses:

Wow that prize is Priceless :open_mouth:

Indeed. Didn’t even know such a thing existed - well the light I did. Someone will have some real treasure there for sure. An heirloom in fact.

Yeah, I knew about the light but I don’t think I’ve ever seen the knife before. That “O.L.” looks engraved, did Justin do that?

Indeed, he did - https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/42298

That was a tough choice! I don’t want to sway opinions so I won’t share who I chose/considered, but it was a toss-up between several lights this year for me.

It was a tough choice for me as well. And finally I didn’t vote for the build that was my initial pick. There are many special builds in this competition…again.

Some idiot has posted a new poll over it :person_facepalming: can people not read??
I did post this, and I apologise if the word idiot caused offence, I should not have posted it, was rude and thoughtless, I let my emotion for the compo spill over. I won’t do it again. My apologies particularly to zamachowiec, who I have pmed to covey this.

Wow, that prize looks absolutely priceless. I only have a small idea of old lumens who he is and what he did here. I’ve watched some of his YouTube videos. This contest is great, as is the prize and honor of winning. All great entries this year, thank you everyone who built ! Very inspiring!

Bump :sunglasses:

Little bump….

I love a good Hump de Bump

It works fine for me.

Sometimes voting on the sidebar doesn't work, though it did work for me when I was trying to reproduce the error.

Still open for voting :stuck_out_tongue:

Several are truly OL inspired works of originality. In the end I only had one vote so I went with what inspires me personally.

Thanks to all the OL modders for your original works. You are the reasons BLF is such a fun and interesting forum.
