This looks like a redesign of the one they had at this time last year. I got 3 last year and they are pretty good. They take 3AAA batteries and are quite similar to the LED Lenser T7 but that takes 4AAA (I have both).

Anyway I will be buying this to see how it compares to last year's model. It looks a bit slicker in the photo.

Forgot to mention it's available from Thursday (tomorrow 9th Feb)

I'll pick one up tomorrow. I bought one last year which ran on 4AA's, has a nice weight to it.

Chips?

They have various trademarks for different kinds of products. Their power tools are called Parkside.

I'm sorry it's nothing personal, but I could think of better ways to spend £10 on a light than one of these.

Such as?

I would of said put the £10 towards a Solorforce L2i together with a XPG-R5 P60 drop-in... but it appears they have stopped producing the L2i hosts :(.

Bought one this morning, not as impressed as I was with last year's 4AA model.

I've managed to scratch it already, despite it not leaving the car.

Focus action is nice and smooth. Will try to compare to my Tank 007 E07 tonight.

- Burn time (hrs): 3
- Illumination range approx. (m): 150

- Burn time (hrs): 25
- Illumination range approx. (m): 30

3XAAA, have the just little more capacity of a single AA(just the driver can be cheaper and more efficient with the 3XAAA voltage), to operate for 3h in high... is driven too low better a sk68 is also way cheaper imho

Returned mine already! It started flickering on both modes then randomly switched off.

Well I got one today and the focus mechanism is an improvement on last year's, it's now the same as the 4AA they sold 9 months ago. However I would have liked them to improve the contact between the 3AAA holder and the head end.
