Pretty stern warning on these batteries

LG M1J

Counterfeit cells?

No they’re from 18650.uk

Standard CYA (Cover-Your-A… nkle  ) warning.

They seem good capacity though. Initial charge is at 2200mAh per cell and still going. They were at 3.7v when they arrived so if that was 40% then 2200 / 60 * 100 = 3666.67mAh!

That’s a genuine new design. Too many people abusing these things and getting injured then going after the manufacturer. Most vendors stateside liquidated their inventory last year and don’t sell them anymore.

Not able to find any information at the listed website…?

Decent capacity, this is from new:

Cover your ankles.

I have done that. For real. On the street. When I covered my ankles, the police and the local prosecutor accused me of a crime. The prosecutor argued in court that I did not have the right to cover my ankles. The judge ruled in my favor, saying that I had the right to use force to stop a threat that was immediately threatening to injure my ankles.

Lithium ion battery warning: there are lots of other things that cause a lot more injuries that do not have any warning labels on them.

About the updated printing on the wrappers?

“Please direct all inquiries on our batteries to our new subsidiary, LG Energy Solution (launched on December 1, 2020)
LG Energy Solution”

Link defaults to korean but when switched to english there’s a menu in the top right “Li-ion Battery Safety Guide”

Good Catch to find that page.

She hot…

Overnight from dead (3v) it took 3418mAh. Not bad.

Only annoying thing about these is I had to cover them in stickers to stop them rattling in the torch.

That’s really good, right on the money.

I have many Samsung 30Q with a very similar warning.

Well then you can’t see the warning anymore, and everything is fine!

Yeah these are consistently good. Might buy a couple more when they’re back in stock at 18650.uk How long do li-ion batteries last when stored at 40% charge? Maybe stocking up isn’t worthwhile if they’re going to degrade over time. I currently just use two and alternate between them each time I use the light.
