Is it me, or are there too many flashlights in the world? How come I never heard of the Xeno Luna K1 before? It came in copper, brass, and aluminum. I’m married with children, retired, all my friends moved at least 50 or more miles away. So all i do is read about flashlights. Surefire and Streamlight are out of their minds with the prices they charge but I still need a stiletto and a wedge which I would have never heard of if I didn’t get together with a few flashlights “enthusiasts” (let’s face it:if you own more than 3 you’re a nutcase)
Now I don’t know if it’s hype or not, but Xeno also had the ES2. Touted as a penlight (a little fat if i were to write with it), it has a tough mil-spec build. Not sure why, since it has no glass breaker or attack bezel, but it is solid. What else have I missed in the world? Is there a depository for all lights ever made…don’t want to miss any more.

I don’t know the answer but imagine how dull it would be if you actually knew of all the flashlights that existed! How could you live without the anticipation of finding the next greatest thing!
And also…. stiletto and wedge? I don’t understand that reference.
But isn’t that contradictory ? Since one cant know “all the flashlights that existed” since something new is always made upon improving on current designs as well as advancements in the field so that in and of it self would always leave you with anticipation on what could be next.
Indeed true… But once you break it down to the most basic definition of “Flashlight” its a battery-operated portable light… and going further that covers many other things…. who needs to just confine the “Flashlight” to the basic tube design and projects light be it flood or throw we could have LED suits…. and we could just radiate blinding light in all directions !
I need an LED suit now….
There’s way too many – feel free to send them to me for proper disposal.

There won't be a possibility of too many flashlights until Acebeam comes out with the X65GT 5 or 7 or 14 x 90.2 and Imalent comes out with the R90TSGT 90.2.
Because I like big lights, my flashlightical views lean heavily toward both the extreme bright and the extreme heft.
I think I understand now why people chase after the biggest baddest latest greatest ...If you only want massive lights there aren't that many . But if you like more reasonable /smaller everyday type lights then you're going to become overwhelmed pretty quickly .
You should thank god that Deal extreme went away or the number of budgetlights would drive you crazy .
I don't know about the Xeno es2 being marketed as a pen light ..it may be a response to their older E06 2xAA light which when loaded with 2 AA nimh's weighs in at 220 grams . While the es2 with 2 nimhs is about 85g.
