Convoy s2+ for general purpose work light?

So with so many options I’m having a tough time figuring out which one. I’m looking for one that will be for looking into machines and tight areas to inspect machines so I don’t need super throwy since it’s up close. Same for output I mean tops I would be ok with 800 lumens so with all that which one do you guys think would be the best?

5000k or 4000k and 12 groups

And leave a message for Simon to insert the 38° frosted lens in place of the reflector.

Edit.
Of course, you can leave him a message about a different flashlight body color if you like

Before I got laid off due to coronavirus, I was doing similar work and used the SST40 model. Recently I got an LH351D and think it would be a better beam for that purpose, better CRI and floodier with the stock optic.

hmm ill have to check that one out too i think more flood would deff be better since ill be up close and personal so throw would kinda defeat the purpose.

XPL HI U6-4C 4200-4500K and 7135*8 output current 2800mA.

I got the tan one but kinda wish I went with orange so its a bit easier to find when I drop it. I like the tan but it blends in with the grass too much.

I do love the SST-20 but even with an OP reflector its a bit throwy. Good general purpose, actually. LH351D would give you a little broader beam and still high CRI, though. I’m going to try one in a C8+ with one of his SST-40 drivers.

Please let us know how you like that one in the C8+.

I am on the fence between that one and the sst40.

Sorry to get off topic.

I can tell you how I like it in the Sofirn Sc31 Pro. Ended up with two of the 5000k SST-40 versions, and while that is really a wonderful LED with great tint I do like my high CRI. Anyways, put a 4000k LH351D from mtn in one of them and while that particular LED is a little too yellow/green for me it gives a nearly identical beam pattern to the SST-40 that was originally in there. I have some 3500k LH351D coming with the Convoy which, according to the bin labeling, should be just below the BBL so I’m pretty excited to try them out.

Thanks for the rundown. I think I will try putting a 5 amp driver in my SST20 C8+ first and see if I need “something else” after that.

I have one lh351d with 20º TIR and actually get around 37º (40 cm beam diameter at 60 cm distance).
I would also ask for a clip.
