Which batteries are the best

Hi everyone. I have a couple of questions about batteries that I hope someone can help me with.
First, can a samsung 18650 inr 30q battery be 20A or are they only 15a. There’s a battery store claiming to have them in 20a. Secondly, I am replacing the batteries I fried in my Mateminco mt18s. Mateminco is sending me a new battery connection discs for the tailcap and body for 8 dollars. The Mateminco mt18s tailcap and body are fine, I only fried the connection discs. So, I would like everyone’s opinion to which is the best battery.
Would it be an LG 18650 hg2 3000mah 20a better or vape530 3000 mah 25a?The batteries are going to be used in a mateminco mt18s. Any advice would appreciated. Thanks.

Go to Battery test-review 18650 comparator and compare them.

The 30Q has a better voltage curve and maintained temperature within specs up to 15A, but at 20A the test had to stop because the temperature was too high.

If the drain is 15A or below, or 20A only for a very brief moment, use the 30Q, otherwise I think you may be better off with some higher drain battery like the Molicel P26A or the Samsung 25S. The P26A is strictly better than the HG2 at 15A or above.

That vape530 most likely is either a 30Q or HG2 rewrap, if not something worse, so ignore the rating. Vape cell rewrappers like to use a pulse rating that is only valid for a few seconds pulse load as used by vaping devices. That rating is not applicable to flashlights where the turbo mode
will last minutes.

Sony VTC5A would be another good option.

I don’t think there is a “best” battery, if there was its the only one people would buy.

Personally, I only buy Sony, Samsung, LG, Moli, Panasonics/Sanyo and of the rewraps: Orbtronic, and Vapecell.

I absolutely would not buy any ebay batteries. Also would not buy batteries made by the light manufacturer like Fenix or Nitecore.

I always buy from the 2-3 sources recommended on this forum. 100% legit.

The best batteries are the ones that I can get for free from laptop computers thrown away at my workplace. I am in Japan, so they are generally Sony batteries.

I find that laptop battery packs, even on old laptops, have some good batteries in them because batteries do not degrade at the same rate and once their is one or two bad batteries in the set, then the user can't use their computer on battery any more so the other batteries remain in relatively good condition.
