First off, let’s understand that this flashlight has been modified to do one thing well, Throw. It is not for walking the dog, looking behind the fridge for a lost cat toy, etc. It is not for white wall hunting. It IS made for outdoor Long Range fun and that it does very well.
Whenever someone comes to my house and wants to see the collection they are always drawn to this UF1405 because of the Big head/Short body and because of the sexy ground off polished nubs.
This is the #2 flashlight listed in this thread that I purchased, so info specs are best found there, I did not build it and have no way to measure the output so am going by what was listed and this member was well regarded so think it is legit;
This was built with a lighted tailcap when that idea was in it’s infancy and not found in the commercial mainstream. The timing of mode changes takes some practice as to what it likes. The internal threaded ring of the tailcap switch does not like to be cranked full tight, this is a modded light, so if you are not comfortable with these quirks please pass it by and get a stock light.
Because of this I am also including a fully functional stock tailcap along with the sale. It will work better with real long 26650’s and has quick mode change operation. 4 Modes with memory, no blinkies.
Has some shelf wear and some dust under lens. Flashlight and extra tailcap only, no battery included.
