New Astrolux model coming soon.....hopefully

As a distributor for Mateminco/Astrolux here’s a new model that’s in the process of being made. It’s 1*21700, Osram CULPM1 LED, and Anduril. No idea on any other info

Looks like the Fireflies T9R

I thought the same thing. Not entirely sure I like the design

Yea… it does… I don’t know if I like the idea of a design that’s so similar to another original design… then again, there is the c8 archetype…

Although, I’ll probably buy it. If it’s under $60… :person_facepalming: the t9r is curious to me. But not $100 curious.

Edit: request-please redesign the handle grip/machining.

Looks funny.

better not to do

c’mon…be original…Looks like an ugly version of the T9R

Astrolux? Original? Hahahahaha…

But seriously. I hate their blatant copycat designs. It annoys me to see people get repeatedly excited over boring, ugly, and poorly made lights. Its always a headline with these guys too. 21700! Osram! Anduril! Colors! 100000lm!

This is Astrolux k2 levels of copying someone else’s designs and making it slightly better and cheaper. I guess it’s good for the consumer, but it kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I feel that they’re going to do it wrong. I don’t know of any particular way the ice cream cone design improves functionality over our conventional reflector designs and it’s rather ugly imo. Mateminco is probably going to slap their usual FET+1 26650 with usb c charging driver into it. It’ll be an amalgamation of the ugliness and inefficiency with nothing special.

The T9R has a relatively efficient buck driver which makes it special. I doubt mateminco will come out with one of their own.

yeah that design i dont like… not really nice looking :frowning: but im sure it throws well… they shouldnt just copy a design like that, why not do their own astrolox design instead for little more original ?

It should be called

“The Funnel”

More like a rifle scope.

Likely a reflector…and too deep to be useful for me. Not in.

It looks similar to the Fireflies T9Rvn - Compact 21700.
