Hello from Spain

Hello everyone!

I´ve been a fan of flashlights since long time ago , but in my collection only have old incandescent light bulbs and some cheap chinese generic flashlights.
The only exception are two petzel headlights Tikkina and Tikka, 80 and 350 lumens and an old Maglite 2d upgraded with a 280 lumens led bulb.

I love hikiing , and walking at night so i decide to upgrade my collection with modern and more powerfull, capable flashlights.

I will need a EDC flashlight, a Thrower, a headlight, and finally a soda can sized flashlight .

Thanks !!

Welcome Hartmann. I am using Manker E03Hii headlamp. Have Skilhunt H04 on the way.

Do you have preferred battery??? Many options use 18650 cells.

‘Hartmann’ :+1:
Welcome to BLF. I am also looking for an EDC for walking the dog at night that will not intrude on neighbors privacy.

Ciao pizano! I’m also looking for walking EDC but one that intrudes on neighbors.

I walk my dogs every night in the city and don’t want to disturb the neighbors either. Typically I wear headphones and don’t really like to wear a headlamp. My winter parka and my raincoat have a fabric loop that I can clip a right angle light to and that is what I use the most. Currently I am using a TH20 that I happen to have a clip for. Sure it would work as well with my SP40 but that stays in its headlamp holder for when I want a proper headlamp. Have the ramping set to about where the mid is on my Ti3 V2. If I need more for pickup I just double click for turbo, pick up the doodoo and go back to the ramp level. Works great.

If you wear a baseball cap, the Ti3 V2 makes an outstanding dog walking light. Mid won’t disturb anyone and does the job very nicely. A couple of twists takes it to High if needed. Can be a bit tricky to figure it all out without having it come unclipped. (Have dropped mine several times.) Once you master that, it is a great light that you don’t even notice on the brim of your hat. You can also reverse the barrel of the SC31 pro to do the same thing with that. However, an 18650 light on a hat brim is much more noticeable than a AAA.

Any right angle light with a clip can go on a jacket loop or the on the opening or on a button down shirt or on a pocket makes a nice hands free setup. Not the same as a headlamp. I still like a headlamp for task work but for dog walking I like the light just clipped on me.

Hands free is really the way to go for dog walking! FWIW I always have either a C8 or the SC31 Pro or perhaps a TN4a if I really want to see something at a distance and can do so without disturbing the neighbors.

Do you, like, walk through their backyards or something?

Please enjoy your time here, Hartmann!

Welcome!

.
No fences allowed in our old subdivision, some slip up with the light will shine thru their windows. Majority of my lights are throwers except for a MT09R and its a little bulky for a dog walk.

Thanks to everyone.
Welcome Hartmann. I am using Manker E03Hii headlamp. Have Skilhunt H04 on the way. Do you have preferred battery??? Many options use 18650 cells.
Thanks !!. Not any preferred battery yet. But i know that a lot of flashligts and headlights use 18650 cells. But for shure i will need some batteries and a charger. The Skilhunt H04 is one of my candidates for a Headlight. Good choice.

Welcome! I’m in the US but my family lives in Palma!
