So I’m looking for a headlamp that uses a 18650 battery for everyday use and outdoors
my budget is something close to 50 on aliexpress
at the moment I’m looking for a fenix h61r and the skilhunt h04 rc
what do you guys think?
any recommendations?

I use Skilhunt H04 and H03 before it. Gets the job done. New UI is flexible.
What can you say about the built quality? and what about the water resistance, can it be exposed to heavy rain or submersion?

I recommend the BORUiT D10 Headlamp. It’s a lot less than your 50 budget, but it’s a great headlamp!
I replaced the LED on mine, but stock was still very good and bright. The internal charging also works well.
I’m like a broken record on this subject and have recommended both of the two lights mentioned . Skillhunt h03 and Boruit D-10
at at this point the H03 is an old model but the H04 is as nice or nicer . D10 is just too much a a best bang for just a little money that it’s a no brainer.
I have zebras and army teks but the two mentioned are about the only headlamps I reach for .

Never had water issues with H03. H04 new but built same. Not worried.
Not a fan of charging in lights.
H03 just checks a lot of boxes for me.
The price on the H03 at the time made it a very attractive option as well . I think my first one was $32 and about a year later they popped back up for $25. At a third of the price of a zebralight ...and possessing an ability to be opened up and modded as well as body/ 18350 tube options makes them a much more attractive option than a light that will slowly go out of date wearing the same party dress it came to the dance with.
Being able to say you spent too much on an unfixable un moddable headlamp with low cri and a bad green tint only goes so far .
Otoh.... zebralight does have nice straps
I recently got a D10 with “yellow light”. I like it. Can’t beat the price. Seems to be 2700k. Might get the “yellow light” D25 next.

I would recommend the Boruit D10 as a budget option.
If you like smooth ramping like me, then I suggest the Lumintop HL3A.
The user interface of the HL3A is just about perfect for my taste.

Also, I prefer warm tints, though I sometimes have to settle for neutral tints.
In other words, I avoid cool tints (for myself) like the plague.

My main complaint about the D10 and D25 is that after two years the strap lost its elasticity. That’s after a lot of use.
My minor cpmplaint was the tint but that was easily fixed with a transplanted LH351D; shaved 4000K accompanied by a change of the reflector for an optic. Can’t beat the price.

Nope, not a live circuit and power only flows in when the connector is attached.
I can add a vote of confidence for the Skilhunt offerings. Small, lightweight, durable and plenty bright enough for any reasonable application. Great moonlite levels as well.
I bought one H03, and when a sale came on shortly after I grabbed two more. I no longer carry spare cells; they’re so small and light I just carry spare H03s.
