Newbie here and wish I would have never found this forum…. money pit to the 10th power.
Anyway - I picked up my first real flashlight and am super excited! I was lured in by Skilhunt M300 as a good all allrounder.
I got the unit and pulled out the little plastic protector from the bottom of the battery. I turned it on and saw the indicator blink red 3 times = low bat, makes sense. I connected up the charger and the light went blue on the charger. I waited a few mins and came back - still blue. I then tried a different PD 65w charger - still blue. I believe that means the charger thinks the battery is fully charged.
Anything I should try? Thanks in advance for any/all help.
No thank you for sucking me into the n+1 flashlight sickness. T36 or…… never mind. I am going to have just 1! Really.
Hi SpinRay! Welcome to BLF
I would advise to check if everything is well tight (tubes, tailcap) and also if the contacts on the charger/charging surface are clean.
Also, of course, check if the battery is placed correctly in terms of polarity!
I have the M150 and the M200, not the M300, but this is what occurs to me first!
Well…. I have checked everything a few times, same result. When I turn on the flashlight the indicated blinks red three times indicating low battery - ok. When I plug it into a USB port the charging disc/puck light turns and stays blue. When I connect the disk to the charging port on the light it continues to stay blue - no change. I have fidgeted with it to see if the contact is faulty in some way. I simply remains blue and does not appear to charge the cell. The X4 reports the battery to be at about 20% charge. Looks like I will return it for another. The light looks promising. Thanks for the help!
Good thought - I have some Samsung 30Qs that will be here tomorrow I think. I could give them as shot. Strange the battery seems to charge fine in the X4. Worth a shot, probably going back either way if it is the battery. Does your puck light blue and stay blue when you connect it to power?
When I connect the cable também power it is blue, but when connect the cable to the flashlight, it becomes red.
Try if the new cells charge or not. If not, the issue is the flashlight. Or the cable. If it charges then the battery is faulty and eventually has some issue in the protection board.
I did get the low battery warning from the light when I first turned it on - so low. I then put battery in my x4 charger and it reported 20% charge. Returned it to the flashlight - no charge. I did want to play with the light so I charged the battery fully in the X4. I would say the battery is ok - and went to full on the 1A slot after a couple of hours or so. I did not time it. I like the light itself. Going back to Amazon.
