I like Amazon.

They have great customer service, and sometimes they have the lowest price.

I can understand why Jeff Bezos is so rich.

When I looked up the boat by name, I was surprised to see it already in my browsing history. I guess this is one I already looked up charter rates for. Great looking design, but honestly a bit frivolous for my taste. I didn’t end up hiring it.

From some other searching, it sounds like it is in question whether Bezos actually owns the Flying Fox or not.

He certainly could afford it, but it seems pretty obvious he does not actually own it, or else somebody is going to have to explain why they’re offering it for charter.

BTW, those are all Convoy S2+’s around the hull, modified with SBT90.2 emitters. I am told they were custom made by a mystery BLF member. The only thing that can make Jeff Bezos more powerful would be if he married into the Walton family.

Amazon hasn’t been good for at least a decade, always giving into peer pressure and politics… and outrageously long shipping times (non-prime)

They produce anime with teen upskirts then ban Nico Robin figures from 3rd party sellers lmao go figure

They had a 2 month shipping time on in-stock items at the start of the pandemic!

Very simple, the longer the shipping time for non prime members, the more attractive Prime becomes. I don’t think anyone would get Prime if shipping was next day and free for non Prime members.

That’s the thing though, Amazon usually isn’t even cheapest(USA, heard UK is way different), often by a long shot, and Prime drives cost up. Same with Sportsman’s Guide and some other subscription.

I’d rather support ethical companies that aren’t playing politics or giving in to cancel terrorism.

In the UK, it’s very unusual for Amazon not be the cheapest for most things, especially consumer electronics.

I now use them as a last resort, as I fear that eventually there will be nobody else left to buy from, even if it does cost a little more elsewhere.
