My flashlight lumintop fw1a pro cannot turbo and remembers the last light level. Where can I buy the driver. Thank you all my

this is a gift I got from lumintop’s GAW. 1 beautiful flashlight. Unfortunately it is currently unable to turbo. I tried contacting lumintop but they were too late to respond. the last time they told me 2 months ago. It’s as simple as showing me how to factory reset. Maybe they’re too busy for the new flashlights. I still like fireflies the most. I can buy replacement drivers quickly from them at a very low cost

The FW1A has an older version of Anduril, so no factory reset. My FW1A is very sensitive to battery connections and I had problems engaging turbo when I first got it. I cleaned all contacts carefully with alcohol and a rough cloth (there actually was a small amount of gunk there), screwed the head on very tightly, inserted the charged battery, and screwed on the tailcap, again very tightly. This solved my problem. Simple but worth a try. I do remember something about holding the button while screwing in the tailcap but don’t remember if it applied to this light.

If the FW1A is built anyting like the FW3A I might add:

- make sure the (flat) ends of the inner and the outer tube are very clean,

- the retaining ring of the driver is notorious for collecting metal chips,

- on assembling, make sure the inner and outer tube are perfectly parallel,

- first tighten the tailcap as firm as possible with bare hands

  • then tighten the head only as much as is needed to make contact

NB: The tailcap is NOT (as in NEVER) meant for swapping batteries.
That has to be done by taking of the head!

Although I do follow this advice, its a pretty silly design. Its equivalent to a car dealer telling you all passengers must enter the car from the passenger side. If you enter from the drivers side something BAD will happen. Then they never tell you what the BAD thing is and like a moron you follow the advice.

Great light, but having to swap batteries through the head is just plain stupid.

Don’t shoot the messenger. That’s why the tailcap has a fine thread and the head a coarse thread.

I guess this is what happens when you build a light that is half inch bigger than the battery, You have to cram all the electronics into a half an inch.

I have 4 FW flashlights (not the first batch) and have removed the tailcaps on each a few times to change batteries or whatever. Nothing bad has happened yet but if anything does I’ll report it. Maybe I’m just lucky.

Edit: Just removed the tailcap on one. There’s a copper ring in the tailcap that makes contact with the inner tube. I guess it’s possible that it could wear or tear from the tube screwing into it. Other then that I don’t see anything that could be damaged and no nubbin to be lost.

I don’t know your skill level with Anduril, and there’s very little detail regarding the issue you have, but as the light should remember the last light level anyway it seems the only problem is an inability to engage turbo.
Are you in muggle mode?

This is my clip. I show the flashlight community in Vietnam how to use andurill

where do you buy fireflies drivers ? might come in handy for some mods

I just bought Jihawaii808’s “last” titanium FW1A, sounds like lumintops are the same exact cheap shenanigans they always were. There is more to a flashlight then lumens folks, build quality actually matters. If you ask why some of us are so insistent on buying American ^ THATS why. Convoy makes a nice light however, good fit finish and build quality on those bad boys (titanium ones at least)
