Both of mine came in this afternoon along with the Vapcell H10s, Nichia 3k and SST20 4K. Man these are much smaller than I figured, they’re awesome.

The mailman did me a solid today…wasn’t expecting it until maybe tomorrow. Happy to see the “bunny” snuck in the back door Wink .

Some quick observations:
The threads were pretty dry. Cleaned and lubed. Anduril 2 (yep), substantially different navigation than the straight up Anduril 1 I’m used to. Switch feels pretty solid. I got Nichia 4000k, great tint. Ain’t no lie this little puppy gets scorching hot in short order (Vapcell H10). 10-15 seconds on turbo will curl your hair. Haven’t had enough time to fiddle with the temp throttle, just calibrated base temp. I’m not getting the second flash/buzz to set the threshold. Overall I think it’s fairly impressive.

Been playing around with both of them for a while. These really are great little torches, one question though. In Anduril 2 is the sunset mode default time only 5 min? I know you can add time in 5 min increments. In the original version default was 60 min.

I received my FWAA sst20 4000k today, really happy with the light. The build quality and tail switch feel much better than my first batch FW3A. I can’t believe how small it is too! I’d definitely be in for a titanium or stainless steel FWAA if Lumintop wants to go that direction.

Sunset Timer
------------

In the ramp mode or candle mode, it's possible to make the light turn
itself off after a while.

To activate the timer, go to the brightness you want and then use a 5H
action. Keep holding the button, and the light should blink once per
second. Each blink adds 5 minutes to the timer.

In ramp mode, it slowly dims until it's at the lowest level, then shuts
off. In candle mode, it stays at the same brightness until the final
minute, at which point it dims and dies out.

The user can change the brightness while the timer is active. If this
happens during the final few minutes, it also "bumps" the timer up to a
minimum of 3 minutes. So if it's getting really dim and you need a
little more time, you could do a 5H to add 5 minutes, or simply ramp up
to the desired brightness.

Thanks, I’ve read the manual but it still doesn’t say what time is default.

Just got them.
I must say that this little one is just asking for longer bezel like FW1A and single emitter TIR option.

Prescious metals also.

A little size comparison:

FW3T - FWAA - FW3C (18350)

SC5c II - FWAA - SC53w

DQG Slim AA - FWAA - DQG Tiny AA II

ReyLight Pineapple - FWAA - ThruNite T10T

Lumintop states a length of 70,9 mm in the manual and on their various websites, but that is not quite correct.

I have measured the following:

Length: 74,5 mm

Head diameter: 20,5 mm

Body diameter: 18,2 mm

Tail diameter: 20,4 mm (diameter of the protruding clip ring: 21,6 mm)

Weight (empty): 33,7 g

Thanks for the great photos Noir! Wink
And it confirms what I said before

yep, the DQG Slim AA is indeed a bit longer. I have measured mine at 76,6 mm, 2,1 mm longer than the FWAA. The DQG Tiny AA II (which is of course a twisty) is 68 mm long, 6,5 mm shorter than the FWAA.

I can’t believe it’s that much smaller than the reylight Pineapple.. dammit, maybe I will have to order one of these. But I’ll probably just wait for brass to come out, if it ever does. Because it really should – freeme

Arrived today. This is my second Lumintop, and this one is even more impressive with the Anduril 2 driver. Soooo small. I haven’t got my head around the interface yet, but I will.

Thanks for this. I am very pleased.

it sure does!  I’ll keep mine in simple UI with a greatly reduced top ramp - no turbo. I can always put it back in advanced UI if I want to show off for 5 seconds.

Mine is in the US, but they can’t seem to hand it off to USPS.

I would really like to see a stainless bezel for this light, I use one on every EDC… lets face it they get dropped.

Assisted from that, I am excitedly waiting for it!

EDC rotation:
FW1A, LH351D 4000k (second favorite)
FW3A, LH351D 3500k
FW3A, SST20 FD2 4000k
FW3A, Nichia 4000k sw40 r9080 (favorite light!)
FW3A, Cree XP-L Hi 5A3
Emisar D4V2, SST20 4000k
S2+, XM-L2 T6 4C

Any word if Lumintop will make a Titanium or Titanium-copper version of the FWAA?

Anyone know how the tints compare for the Nichia 219C 3000K and 4000K versions?
Any projection of CRI on these two and for the SST-20 4000K?
Apologies in advance if this was covered earlier in this thread.

FREEME, PM code please and thank you!

Nichia 219C 3K, 4K and SST-20 4K are 90 CRI, Nichia 219C 5K is only 70 CRI.

Since this is a FET +1 driver, this should help the tint issues normally associated with the SST20, but I’m really curious about the two 90CRI Nichia’s. Can anyone with those comment on the green/pink tint of these options?

Any xpg3s before the expiration? I never saw any in stock.

Did anyone get the sapphire window? Does it affect bezel position?

I’ve got Nichia 3k and 5k. Both floody and 5k is not bad bad for low cri but beeing called Nichia AND not High CRI botherd me so i swapped with Osram’s.

I still have a mixed feelings about 3000K, seems to me a bit yellowish/greenish... Need to compare with other light i have (but i need to find that one first)

Lumintop’s current 4000k sst-20s are bloody gorgeous, even on lower power modes.
