I got my 2. 2 weeks for delivery. Excellent. They are tiny! I need to learn the new UI and programming. Maybe strip the bezel (need stainless). Not a huge fan of the clip.

Has any one done an oring mod to this switch? Is it helpful?

Just got my 4000K Nichia 219C FWAA.

I’m impressed. It’s absolutely tiny!!! It makes my Sofirn SP10B look huge.

One interesting thing to note: This is by far the narrowest triple TIR optic light I’ve seen. Unlike pretty much every other triple, the optic is not a 20mm Carclo triple TIR. Instead it appears to be a custom optic that is much narrower and smaller.

The bi-directional clip also works very well and does not feel like it sticks out too much.

I’m impressed. I think Lumintop has a real winner with this one. Hopefully they will come out with this light in Titanium and Ti-Cu. Love

I’ve got some really bad flicker on the Nichia 219C 3000K. What is the usual trouble shooting again? I tightened the retaining rings and tail then head. It’s better but not gone.

Edit: it even turns on when it is off. Not good.

The Nichia one is defective. Soldering is beyond substandard around the LEDs.

Bad defect but Kudos to Neal for handling it. Hopefully shipping me a new head. Bummer about a new defective light though.

Ihad the same issuewith 5000k and i found loosening bezel stops this behaviour. Definetly bad solder job (see in my post on previous page). After resoldering contacts, all good

bad solder job is something that should not happen on a newly released light its not the first fw light they make they should have improved the quality on that by now. no excuses.

The camera sees it that way, but in fact when shinning it above some different stuff, my eyes see it too.
Please note that it was taken with 5000K balance on a cellphone, so it can be a bit exaggerated.
Still, there is a rosy tone on it, as far as I can tell.

I agree, the one on the right looks like vomit compared to the one on the left.

Has anyone compared the SST20 4000k with the 219C 4000K? Which one is rosier?

I already have the SST20 4k, and a 219c 4k on the way, should be here middle of next week.

I did the oring mod, which was very helpful. But I poached another light. Can someone remind me what size it is? I need to get a few more.

I just ordered three, 219c 3k, 4k and SST20 4k. I’ll just sell the ones I don’t like and keep the best of the three. Figured it won’t be hard getting rid of them lol.

Got a 219C 3000K and SST20 4000K kit. Couldn’t resist sampling the menu at the prices the group buy gave me. Big Smile

I really like the size of this light. Though I do think that FW1AA would be more practical. At the same time…I wonder whether it would be possible to convince Lumintop to make a zoomie on the basis of this body…

Hi fellow flashlight enthusiasts. Just made it official and joined the blf community. Long overdue, I’ve been building/modding convoy lights for 2yrs. Officially a tint snob these days. Hope this group buy is still going. I p.m’d freeme

FWAA Nichia 4000k on the left, IF25A SST-20 4000K on the right. I don’t own a “mule” (ie. Nova-Mu), for comparison, but if I had to describe the beam on the FWAA (with this emitter), it would be “mule like”. Wicked floody. Rosy tint for sure, very pleasant.

It's Neal's decision. A strategy that he adopted since BG era.

Don't worry, we will start issuing another deal FWAA from this Tues.cool
