Repair Clicky Button

Hello, My Clicky Driver From My C8 Convoy That Was Made By A Member Here By The Name Shinningbeam Years Ago And No Longer In Business And What I Am Trying To Replace Is The Electronic Chip With Spring & Button That Is Sticking And The Lettering Reads HGJ . I Removed From The Tail Cap And Searched For This All Over The Place And Coming Here For Advise.

The earliest C8’s, the ones with a pill, have a tail PCB with only text HGJ and a square (side 12mm) BLACK switch. It has a LONG cylindrical spring and is designed to push a copper/brass stub onto the battery. IMHO that switch cannot be simply replaced by the current type of swich presented by @g_damian in post#2.

Looks like you’ve found the right one. At least it is very similar to the switch in my vintage Convoy C8. Now let’s wait and see if it fits.
