According to u/barry_baltimore, Hank confirmed that there will be a clear optic choice and it will have more throw than the D4V2. He also said that it will be single channel.
I may get hate for saying this but I think it looks super ugly!
That could be an interesting design for a dive light if he’s able to make it sealed and able to withstand the pressure. That big screwed down bezel looks like you could put some heavy duty lens in there and a good mix of tints with an SST-20 or whatever to make a nice light for 100ft under water. Just a thought.
It looks like maybe it’d make a good bike riding light. Make it 2 × 21700 and have an option for elliptical TIR lens. Sadly I don’t believe Carclo makes elliptical TIR for 106 series assuming that’s what being used here.
After some thought it is actually starting to make sense. With this design you can fit more emitters and it will still be comfortable in your pocket.
my knee jerk reaction was i did not like it. But after reading ^ this comment, you are right! it is two quad optic sets of leds side by side, i didnt even see it at first. I will definitely buy this. Probably would be 6000+ lumens, and throw well. and fit in pocket well too.
I just hope he starts making battery tubes interchangeable, the only credit i can give to a company like astrolux over emisar. I think the k9.3 and k1 probably are, but d4s would be nice with the k1 tube, and this one all being the same. there is something i like about that.
I thought that I did not like the front end, but after looking again it is the round rear that I do not like, does not fit the front. If the block shape was continued in the battery section, with perhaps two 18650’s next to each other fitted in, that would look way cool!

I like it. Flat enough for pockets. 8 LED’s of goodness. Highest out put XP-L’s and high CRI for the others. I’d like to see it in 21700 or 26650/26800. However that giant hand angle makes it look like 8 XP-G’s on a 18500. I could go for that one too.

What is that? Interesting
Bonum commune communitatis.

I realize Hank will keep making lights and I will be a sucker a buy it every time, I need to get off this sub
Looks like a mobile fog light. Interesting design.
> Which TV show did you watch last? <
Ehh, no want and I own 4 Emisar lights.
Chris
I give him credit for thinking out of the box.

Interesting light.
Looks like a D4V2, but with a double-head with twice the emitters.
Emisar D8 maybe? Perhaps with 8,000 lumen output.
So, 4 floody leds in the middle and 4 throwy leds on the edges?
The beam would be \m/

I am kind like it, but i wish Hank has a way to reduce the number of screws. Unless this is a diving grade light?
Yes , I want one .
I’ll buy one
The Hank lights are so much better than Astrolux. Worth the $10-$15 differential.
It’s interesting.

No hate. But not interested.
I want a ‘KR4S’
https://fundrazr.com/osturaband
No affiliation, just a fan.

If it’s 21700 I’m there
- the best way to predict the future is to create it -
Hmmmmmmm ... this light with 8x XHP 50.2 high CRI ~4000K ...
“Sold” I will take it!
Agreed, More battery space with a head that big.
Not very pocket friendly.
Looks like a very interesting flashlight. It certainly won’t roll off the table!
And if it is a lighted switch, hopefully it will work like the Meteor M43 where it changes colors to indicate battery voltage.
I’d rather use my flashlight around the house than turn on the lights.
